you couldnt be more wrong vannila guerilla. rap may be dying in your little suburb, but it dominates all other music genres in conflicted cities with poverty and corruption. rap is a way of speaking out, and being heard. it covers controversial topics that rock never even touches on. sure a lot of rap isnt so meaningful, but there is ton that is, and there is a whole culture behind it as well known as hip hop. there are many subcultures such as "hyphy" that may eventually die, but true hip hop and the ideas behind it will never die. i for one love rap/hip hop in all forms and even some rock, but a lot of times i find it disgusting how so many people that like rock have a hate for the hip hop society when they know almost nothing about it. viva la revolution
