I listen to mainly progressive, expirmental, and mathcore type stuff. Like The Fall of Troy, Protest the Hero, Portugal the Man, and Tera Melos. But I also love techno and more ambient and calming stuff like Angels and Airwaves and stuff like that.
Eddie Van Halen hands down. He's the one that started using the double handed hammer on and pull offs.
But a guy who is destined to become a great is Thomas Erak. He has some of the fastest hands I've ever seen and while doing that he sings beautifully and screams harshly. And that pretty good considering he's only been playing guitar since 2000.
Well for text messages I have Tom Waits by The Fall of Troy, for when someone calls me I have Melody 6 by Tera Melos, and for MMS I have Break the Same by Mute Math.
It uses mathematicely precise riffs and breakdowns, with little screaming, or barely any vocals at all. Like a noodley type of guitar sound.Example 1, and Example 2.
I currently own this phone. The Samsung Sway, it's like my 5th or 6th phone. It's nice but like all sliders, the screen can get messed up easily, but I like it.
No, you just need to find a hobby. It's not your appetite, it's because your eating because you are bored. I'm the same way, just try to pick up a nice little hobby and entertain yourself it should help. Then eat healthier snakes and try going on walks or something. It helps, trust me.

Well if you have taste for more melodic stuff maybe you should look up the band Tera Melos. They're an instrumental band with a mathcore type feeling, but also they use some electronics and many guitar effects.
Whenever I hear mathcore, it makes me very sad, because it would be much better without the horrible vocals. I prefer math rock.
In fact, if it has the suffix "-core" in the name of the genre, I'm probably not going to like it.
Actually in most of the stuff I listen to that is considered that genre, there is very little screaming and mainly clear lyrics anyway. Just look up stuff like The Fall of Troy and stuff like that. They have very little screaming.

So as the title says, what is NG's favorite genre?
I'll start, mine is Mathcore/ Post-hardcore. I just love bands like The Fall of Troy and Tera Melos.
Discuss.
