As for what I can tell from this I think a lot could be improved by just using better materials. Not sure if it was just a bad scan or what, but the black is very muted and has an obvious sharpie texture. I'd suggest either redoing your black(including line art) in Photoshop or use black india ink instead. And colored pencil doesn't work well when trying to fill big areas of color. Watercolor is good for solid blocks of color especially if you decide to use ink.

As for what I can tell by your drawing skills you have some cool stuff going on. Gather a crap ton of photo reference when you are doing stuff like human anatomy and clothes and well...basically everything that can fill your head with information. Keep it up. Keep on drawin'.

for starters, thanks man. i appriciate the advice. as for bad scan, yes definitely. lol. ill prolly just upload photos of my art from now on. the piece is poster sized in real life so i also had to resize it and jigsaw it together. as for the background, ya caught me. lol. i got lazy and used a chisel tip sharpie. lol. so, watercolors and india ink hunh? that sounds good, need to get ahold of some. thanks for the advice. please check out my other art when i post. some of the stuff that i have on my page is pretty lame. lol i hafta take one of them off actually. but anyway. thanks man.

The simplest reason is the idea that all should express themselves in an artistic form. To be "critical" without being cruel is possible. The overall image is a bit "sketchy", however, I very much enjoy the intensity of the art (so much going on). Some people may not enjoy this, though. Many believe that there should always be some place for the viewer to "rest" their eyes. I also like certain images throughout the whole: "lies"; the hand reaching from the building... KEEP IT UP MANE!! I give you a 3 outta 5. ;)

I figured that the word sketchy would come up. lol. i am definitely working on getting better at that. thanks for the criticism. always appriciated. i do usually do simpler pieces. as for this one, on paper its poster sized. lol. but hopefully ill be putting other stuff up soon. please check out some of my other stuff too. :)

ive been on newgrounds for awhile and im trying to get scouted... dont know how to do that lol. only recently that i figured out about the art forum. lol. yes i know... im dense. but i digress. im looking for a way to put my artwork out there and this seemed the perfect oppourtunity. so, if u would, please criticize my work, negatively or otherwise because that's the only way one can get better. lol. also this piece that im putting up was done in my final year of highschool as a collaboration of some of my better sketches of that year. wat u thunk?
