Some 360p better than others YT Posted November 13th, 2014 in Animation

When I export a 1920x1080 animation to youtube, it looks great IF 1080 HD quality setting is chosen.

However, in 360p (most peoples default setting) it is much blurrier. The difference in quality between the two settings is quite large.

Yet many other animation videos I have seen manage to retain a pretty good quality despite being viewed on a 360p setting.

Why is my video great in 1080, but blurry in 360, while their videos are good in both?

Thanks in advance for your help, much appreciated.

How is it possible?

Am I wrong when i create flash animation with a doc setting set as 1280/720P?

Hi, I'm have the EXACT same problem/inquiry....How is it that some animation videos on youtube look pretty good in 360p, but mine is much blurrier? If 1080 HD is selected, my video quality is pristine. However as you said, the casual user does not do this. If you find a way to make 360p better, please tell me.

I am trying to understand if compression and codec stuff could help solve our problem, but I know nothing of the technical things (so far).

PS: I am using Toon Boom Studio to animate and the video is 1920x1080, 24fps. I export the video to Quicktime then upload it from there to youtube. (Again, if 1080 is selected on youtube its Great)

Thanks, hope to hear from you with a solution and ill keep looking too!!
