Could be a dry joint then. Check your connections, and solder/resolder as nessacary. Also, insulate any exposed wires with lec-tape.

At 3/16/06 01:35 PM, TritoneAngel wrote: You can change the tempo of any selected section of your audio by using Audacity, which I highly recommend.

[NOTE: if you are using Audacity for this purpose, be advised that for what you are describing you would want to use the "Change Tempo" function, NOT the "Change Speed" function; the latter will change the speed and pitch of your song -- making it sound slower and lower-pitched at the same time, whereas the former will simply change the speed, leaving the selection otherwise unchanged.]

But be careful, as slowing it down too much can lead to artifacts (glitches) being left in the sound, and an otherwise loss of quality, while speeding it up too much can lead to skipping of otherwise obvious sounds.

Also it has some of the best sounding variable bitrate encoding I have found. Best of all, it's free. Not a trial, so you don't have to worry about running out of it.

You can compress music in flash itself, so compessing it before hand would only result in horrible quality in the swf :P

Response to: kronenberg 1664 ad Posted March 15th, 2006 in General

Agreed, however I can't honestly say enough of the piece was played to even class it as romantic in origin. 6 notes and a few tutes on a clarinet hardly qualify as a recogniseable piece, but it definatly isn't baroque. Notice the lack of harpsichord, the useage of timpanis and the fact the music is entitled (from memory, correct if wrong) 'Symphony of 1664', where baroque pieces never wen't under such a name.

I don't even use FL, but I can almost garuntee you that the effect you want is done via automating panning, which can probably be done by FL's version of a mixing desk.

I hate OCR now.

OCR would be much better if
1: the entire site wasn't populated by wannabees
2: You could actually get in for things OTHER than video game remixes.

Seriously, 99.9% of their entire forum population are people that failed at getting in.
