I asure you, it's exactly the same in the UK.

I havn't seen breakdancing since those really old 1980's american films.

Probably already been awnsered (I really can't be arsed to read the rest of the thread), but it goes by the 5 highest scores with more than a certain number of votes at precisly midnight EST on tuesday.

Or somthing like that.

50% of the time, people up there have got lucky, and just happened to be 5'vd when it picks them

the other 50% is people cheating by using alt accounts and proxies to vote themselves up.

It would be HORRIBLY unsmooth, even if all the parts were right, quality would be lost quickly, and mirroring an ever-increasing mp3 file back and forth could be described as nothing else but a nightmare.

Normally if you state it in a review, it gets fixed pretty quickly. I've had this happen twice, all fixed by reviews.

Everyone would need the same software, be good at it, a method of transfering the track, any extra VSTs/samples you use between each other... it is just too large scale to work, not like flash collab.

I think you will find your problem is finding a set up where the drums are less easy to be heard.

Even if they arnt mic'd up, Drums normally drown everything out in small halls where the acoustics are questionable. Put the drummer as far to the back of the stage as you physicaly can, and kindly remind him to play moderatly quietly (if that is indeed possible).

Meanwhile, mic up your guitar/bass amps, and plug your vocal mic straight into the PA system, and make sure you fit in a sound test before you perform.

There really isn't anything wrong with self voting. If your track is really so bad that you would be doing it egotisticaly then it will soon be voted down. The only problem where it is more questionable is on tuesday night, where the next top 5 get chosen.
