Topic: I'm Online in Windows 7!

Posted: 05/28/09 11:58 AM

Forum: General

Hey, since we're already talking about Windows 7, I might aswell bring this up.

I installed Windows 7 RC (Build 7100) for some time ago, so I'm now dual-booting Vista and 7. 7 works perfectly, but I'm too lazy to reinstall all my million applications on 7, just so I can reinstall all my million applications again for when the retail version comes out. So I'm asking, can I upgrade RC to retail Windows 7 without having to reinstall all my programs again and move all my files? If no, then how do I get rid of Windows 7 RC? I need the space.

Thanks.

Oh, sorry, I forgot that "big studios" destined to make games; make terrible games.

Why do you want to compair it to SMB3 in games as there are simply no games in store for this device?

I think you misunderstood. SMB3 is a NES game. And you said your toy is packed with emulators, so I assumed it had a NES emulator.

it is the community around it which creates all the possibilities.
Its not a Sony or a Nintendo device, its an Asian device which playes everything which you want it to play. Stop focusing on the commerical side of games, try look at the creative side of it, what else brings you to newgrounds? At first its all the flash games that brings people here, does your DS or PSP play those games? No!

So "big studios" have no creativity? And stop saying it plays whatever you want it to play.
Btw, a PSP can play flash games, but only old flash games.
(But you can homebrew it to play the latest flash games.)

But now you can play THOSE games on the bus so NO SMB3 but which game is compairable with SMB3 on Newgounds anyway?

Why the hell would I rather play a flash game instead of a well-made game by "big studios"?

Quiet thinking in E3 therms, start thinking in an underground way of gaming ;)

Ummm, there are no good games for Linux.
o.0 just take a dive into Linux and suprize yourself. Its nothing more then the OS for this device but all emulators (until the PS1) are running smootly.

Yes, I've been using Linux before, and I really liked it. The only reason I stopped using it was because I was a gamer. (And Wine is a pain in the ass and gets terrible framerates)

Anyways, you're saying it's packed with emulators to consoles before PS1? Sounds good but not nearly as good as the DS and PSP. Try comparing Super Mario Bros. 3 to any good DS or PSP game.

Ok, thanks. But do you mean that one GTX 260M is equivalent to
TWO 512MB GDDR3 Mobility Radeon HD 4870?

The notebook I'm planning to buy is the ASUS W90Vp-X1.

I just need a powerful notebook for around $2200.

Which of these two are best?

Two 512MB GDDR3 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870
Two 512MB GDDR3 NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GT

And what ATI card is about as good as the 8700M GT?

Thanks

I've always wished for a school class, where you learn C#, AS, or any interesting coding languages. Would be fun to actually have someone teach you, instead of searching your ass off finding tutorials.

Yes, I've read that many places.
I've also read that they provide terrible customer support, is this true?

I might do that, but I'm not a hardware guru.

I've thought about the alienware m7. But as I said above, I've read that they have terrible costumer support and some of their products are unrealiable and crashes alot. Hope it's not true...
But if I go for that, which processor should I go for?

Might this be a good deal?
http://www.sagernotebook.com/product_cus tomed.php?pid=171297
SAGER NP9280. Probably the only non-desktop computer with a i7 that exists.
But it's quite a bit price...

Also, the ONLY reason to get a 64-bit OS is to be able to use more than 3GB of RAM, right?

I need some recommendations on a good desktop replacement perfect for gaming, but under $2200.
I travel alot, so a desktop computer isn't a choice, so I need a notebook capable of handling graphic-intensive games. I first thought about an Alienware or a Sager, but can you get a good one from them for under $2200? I would prefer one with atleast a 17-inch screen.
