The N-Gage was built as a game platform. The iPhone, however, wasn't necessarily built on the fact of gaming, and the only reason it did is because it had the specs to do so.
Hell, the iDevices do a lot more than you think.
I know the iDevices can do a lot, pretty much that of a computer. I ain't knocking on the possibilities, I'm knocking the iDevice as a gaming platform.
When you've got an iDevice an have had experience.
I suppose. Until then, the iDevices shouldn't be a game platform to be judged IMO.

It's wasteful to spend money on a Gamecube when the Wii can do what it does and so much more. Put on your big boy panties and just put up with the five seconds of motion control that it takes to play the games on the Wii.
Pretty much this. The Wii doesn't have that strong of a third-party line up than, say, the HD consoles, that much is obvious. But that don't mean that it lacks good titles. Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, heck anything with a Nintendo logo on it is good. Some third party games are actually very very good, like Elebits, Goldeneye Wii, and Sonic Colors. Sure they're not earth-defying, but they're fun nonetheless. Just try it out and stop whining about "moshun contrlz" and "bad garfX" and play games to have fun.
Who the heck told you this was Left 4 Dead?

Dang, that's some crazy customization if I ever saw it.
Yet another apples vs. oranges argument thread. And seeing how I have only played Reach, I doubt my post has any worth in this thread. But I didn't get Black Ops since MW2 was a disappointment for me, and Black Ops looked like another MW2 re-coated. The same can be said about Reach, but at least I had fun with Halo 3. MW2 was boring and not very fun in my opinion.
My flaw is my stubbornness. If I have an opinion, I stick with even if I'm wrong.
I like both, but turkey's hecka cheaper than ham. So I go with turkey.
Problem, economy?

Sure there's tons of games available on the iPhone/Pad/Pod touch. No doubt. But it's not necessarily a handheld game device, in the sense of the DS and PSP. It's not meant for gaming, as its main function is *ahem herm* being a phone. Vote as you will, I'll blatantly refuse the fact that the iDevices are for gaming. It's a dumb opinion, yes, but that's the way I look at it. Next I suppose we'll vote for the best Facebook games.

Plus, didn't you already hate the Wii?
You can play games on it. A lot of games.
But the iPhone isn't a gaming handheld. It's a PHONE. It's not meant for gaming, and it's not meant to come into Nintendo's and Sony's competition line at all.
-Sonic
- Tails
- Knuckles
- Dr. Robotnik (WHO IS THIS EGGMAN I DON'T EVEN)
That's all we need, that's really all we ever needed. Wonder who else Sega's cookin' up for the charming cast in the series that is Sonic the Hedgehog?
I like how most users are placing the Wii as the worst console this year. I mean, this has to be one of Nintendo's better years for good releases on the Wii since it first launched. I guess they just can't stand the Wii at all and voted it because of "moshun contrls", "crapy grafex", and "caswal gaems." I don't blame 'em.
Also, why is the iPhone on the list? It's not exactly a gaming handheld.

I'd say the Wii. It had a good year of great releases, even moreso than the year Super Mario Galaxy was released.

I'd expect the 8th generation to be around two, three years tops. Hopefully we can get more creative games instead of waggle-worthy mini-game clusters or broken, unbalanced, and generic FPS games.
Games =/= reality. Dunno about you, but I play games to escape reality. If I wanna chainsaw a monster after having it slash at me several times and then head into a room with exploding barrels, shoot them, and walk across the room and make it to the other side in-tact, I have the dang right to do so. Not saying that reality in games is a bad thing, but as long as you're sitting on your bum fiddlin' your buttons or wagglin' the remote to shoot a guy, that's not exactly "realism". I like realism in games, but I don't want developers over-polluting the genre with realism. Games are meant to be fun, exciting, and imaginative. Imaginative can go realistic, sure. Fine with that. But when all shooters automatically gain that sense of realism that you ask of, consider me out of the FPS fan base.
They told them, but they didn't believe 'em! WHY DIDN'T THEY BELIEVE THEM!?

Personally, I like Half-Life 2. It's very fast-paced and has a lot of variety in levels.

I think it's just me acting like a retard. Sorry.
I did play Mirror's Edge a few times before (the demo on 360). IDK, it seems to me that the controls were a little too meh. The timing of the jumps are kinda too precise for the controller. Games like Portal? It works. Mirror's Edge, eh, too precise IMO. That's probably just me sucking at the game, IDK. I've never been fond of platforming sections in an FPS. Half-Life's platforming didn't do anything to change my opinion. Stubborn opinion? Dang straight. Stupid one? Probably so, but hey, people.
Again, 'scuse the thorn-in-foot earlier. Maybe I'm on a period.
Wait, so that means... AAAAGH!

I'm done with this argument. All I tried to say was that, IN MY OPINION, first person controls don't mix too well compared to third person controls. Of course, this is probably just cause I suck, like some other person told me. That's fine by me. I don't freakin' care.
You win, I lose. Thank you for your input.

Gee, thanks, now I feel much better.
My most-hated genre of music. Ugh. I've actually heard that the last 50 Cent game was pretty fun. I haven't looked at the new one yet, but anything involving rap makes me irk.
I need a new Crazy Taxi. NAO.
I bought an SNES a few years ago with Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, Mega Man X, and Zelda: A Link to the Past. Fun stuff, I tells ya.
At 11/21/10 01:51 PM, TheReturnOfTomsPulp wrote: Thats a great game. Proving yourself wrong isnt a great idea. Either you never played it or are just shit at games. Im going to guess both.
Thanks for the insult, I'm glad to oblige. It's just my freakin' opinion that platforming and first-person viewpoints don't end up very well to control, albeit it's still fun. I had NOT once said that first-person platforming was a bad thing. It's just that it could be BETTER in third-person, in my opinion. Oh, I forgot, this is Newgrounds. My opinion is crap to anyone who has something different! OH EXCUSE ME!
But whatever, laugh at me, insult me then. I don't give a crap. I was just stating my opinion, but opinions are crap at Newgrounds, aren't they?
Who buys third party games on the Wii anyway?
