Getting my MGS fan/critic to write me a script. Hopefully we won't get overshadowed by all these 'good' artists.

I tried that once. It turned into a giant button. (You could go over where the picture appeared without touching the actual button and it would appear anyway.)

I'm making a website for school and i'm having problems with a certain feature.

I want to have button that, when rolled over by the cursor, changes the picture that's on top of the flash. I have a different picture for each button.

How can I do this?

Nothing. All you have to do is put the scenes in order, frame after frame.
The code tells it to stop on that frame, and it will continue to play that movieclip. On the end of that movieclip, the '_root.play();' will tell it to go to the next frame, which is in a movieclip - which contains the scene. And so on and so forth...

I've been doing the first thing you specified, but i'm kinda lost on the 2nd part. Is that step 2 or suggestion 2?

But then the movie will stop and won't continue. I want to get the scene to stop looping so it would continue on with the rest of the movie.

The scene itself is just a long, single frame that extends to a certain frame where the Movie clip symbol for the scene ends.

Okay, here's my problem. I'm putting the finishing touches on a movie that contains about 45-47 scenes. To check how i'm doing, I test the movie so far ("Test Movie"). About 23 scenes in, it begins to loop the same scene over and over without progressing to the next scene. So I move it to the end. Play it again, and now 25 scenes in it does the same thing.

Really getting annoyed. I've got 5 days until my 30-day trial for CS3 runs out and I want to finish it soon. I'm also going to throw in a scene selection and 'skip scene' feature to make viewers watch the movie easier.

Can anyone help me out?

-Most scenes made in MX, then transferred to CS3 when I got a Mac, but I believe its saved as a Flash 8 file.
-Because of problems with audio, the scenes are all Movie Clips.

You know what sucks? I can't think of a good joke for this one. I'm going to go weep now.
