Or else that is a big burden for one to bear, especially if they have any sort of a life.

I don't quite know Jackie's personality, but that design makes her look very kind inside, but shy on the outside. She also lacks sleep.
Lalalalalalala~~~
So, since we all know the rapture was a bust, I should tell you how my day went yesterday.
I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides!!!
I thought it was really good. Penelope Cruz was awesome. Blackbeard was soooo sick >:D
You guys should go see it. Naow!
I also saw Thor.
I wasn't that into Chris Hemsworth before the movie. Cute face, but whatever. Then he took off his shirt o3o.
I didn't think Loki was that bad, and although I guess he is labeled the main antagonist, he really wasn't trying to do any harm. I mean, I guess he did try to kill Thor, but that was because he was being a huge dick in the beginning. But at least he wasn't planning on killing Odin. I don't really know the backstory of the whole Thor thing, but I thought Odinsleep was pretty lame. The whole movie actually could've been explained better... Maybe I should just read the comics or something.
So, that New Yorker that predicted the end of the world is, after all, a kook.
And I was looking forward to the question "So where were you when the Rapture began?"

Love you Ash.

mind building a mini-tutorial on how you did the hair?
Thanks. It will be up tomorrow :P
Quite simple, actually.

Also, no one mentioned how she is missing eyebrows. Huh. Maybe I made the boobs right for once (lol!) :3

Wippage. I'm only using three colors, but I reserve the right to blend those colors together. Might try cel shading with another set, but I'm not really up for that kind of thing.
Could you give us a bit more of a description about each picture? Such as, why you photographed it? Where did you photograph it? How you get the different colors? Also, that graffiti piece, is that your graffiti?
At 5/18/11 02:43 PM, Knocturne wrote: Pretty good! I bet your skills come in handy
Oh. My God. Why?!
Silver, it looks really good. I tried to make that hand gesture, though, and it was pretty difficult. However, it looks like his hand is contorted in pain, so I imagine something like that might be possible :P
I might suggest more dramatic shadows :D :D
D :D
I can't get past the fact that you made the logo "sirfboards."
yeah, thanks guys...

I was watching Arvalis stream all day and he suggested some of us watchers make up some designs for some whore belly dancer people. I was gonna make a character sheet, but I got frustrated and made this instead.
I was running out of time... can probably do 10 times better...
Lets say she is a small spanish lady. That should account for the proportions.

This kind of thing is going to happen, you just need to get over it.

But you might want to think about taking some touch up tutorials because inverting is annoying and doesn't really make a big difference.
This is the best i could get.
Or you could just fuck with the contrast.
Thats what I do with all of my scans.
Although I think you're doing it right, Tre, its just the posting quality thats making it look weird.

I can't believe I actually did.
Anyways, I just suggest some more muted colors; never use anything too saturated, it just hurts the eyes.
I wanted to keep with the general scheme you have there, and I couldn't resist shading. Practice for me as well. I learned a bit.
Boredom in class = sketching eyes.
My mom tried to say it was a cute cat eye and said it was a cute icat instead. I think she is having a stroke :/

Cool, backstory.
You should vary your lineweight; it makes stuff have more depth. Although, the single lineweight kinda works with your style. I would just advise the outlines of the characters to be thicker than the rest. Gives it a cool cartoony feel, imo.
The concept of what you are trying to put across is nice, but (like in the first picture) it can be cleaned up.
I also think 6ix has a terrible color scheme.

I would work on your coloring if I were you.
Also, the detail on his hands aren't necessary. For the amount of detail you put into the rest of the frames, it is too detailed. That isn't to say your whole comic should be 10x more detailed; just make it consistent.
Doorframes are usually taller than that; unless your character is unnaturally tall.
Stay away from gradients; makes stuff look lazily done. It doesn't take that long to color.
The green kid has a hunchback.
You don't need drop-shadow on the papers on his desk, unless they are levitating.
The text doesn't need to be in all caps.

Also,
The people here aren't trying to be mean, I just think you need to be more open about criticism than you currently are. As of now, you may think you can take criticism, but perhaps all you've been getting was ego boosts and blowjobs from the fangirls on dA, but here, we aren't going to sit there and spoon-feed you these critiques. Some people may be more blunt and harsh than others, but hey, thats how this works. Learn to take it and become a better artist.
Btw, I would draw the image again, not copy-paste. It is horribly obvious when someone does, and just because "everyone does it" does not mean you have to. I mean, really, you drew, what, the boss once, the front of the green kid once, and the side view of the green kid once, but then copy and pasted them multiple times. Be less lazy than that fat kid over there that also makes webcomics. Drawing it again gives you that extra practice that you need to keep improving, plus it makes the comic look more genuine. Make the best comic you can make. The more you copy-paste, the less time it looks like you spent on it. A little note to remember that I do notice in webcomics: people are always drawn frame by frame, but environments (like the desk) don't because they don't move. Idk, just something that I thought made a bit of sense, and allows you to retain that lazy bone.
I also do not think you should be making webcomics if you feel that they are stupid, frustrating, depressing, morally degrading, or not in the least bit funny. Why go through the trouble? Because others like them? Fuck that, do what makes you happy. If you are the kind of person that gets a kick out of that then you are weird and a creep 'nuff said. >:(
--
P.S. If you are being offended by any of these critiques, then you can be like the other dA dweebs that come here, and either argue back, or ragequit because you think you are getting trolled. Or, take some of your own advice: "You dont like it then dont read [it]." But, if you do that, don't try and act like you are perfect, because you're not. :P
/END RANT ... hope I didn't forget anything.

I personally use a .7 mechanical pencil. Just make sure you have a few sticks of lead inside. But they are usually more dependable than a normal pencil, since the point can break or dull. Especially if you're sketching, where fine detail won't be the goal. Then again, I use mechanical pencils for everything, so I am quite fond of them.
If you do choose to use normal pencils, I would advise bringing along a few extras, or a pencil sharpener. Also, don't forget an eraser (I use a cap eraser that I just stick on the end of my pencil, but a kneaded one is prolly the best).
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~!!!
It looks like you placed your remote control on a book, and took a picture.
Made even more suspicious how the tile under your "clock" is crooked. Either that or you didn't hang it up straight.
As for your lamp, it looks like you placed the bottle in front of the lamp and took a picture.
Maybe some pictures from other angles or something.
