Besides the fact that tablets aren't necessary, Wacom isn't the only brand of tablet. Sure, they're popular and reliable, but there are many alternatives.
OP, I called you a "she". lol, sorry.

What the fuck?
Listen, people don't need a tablet to make good art. To some, it may help, but it isn't necessary. Besides that, OP has traditional drawings that she wants to put on the computer, and the only alternative to a scanner is a camera photo, which considerably lack in quality.
OP, no scanner is really better than the other. The only thing you should really make sure of is the size of the scanner, and the size of the paper you want to scan, since a lot of printers only cover A4 paper. There are a lot of different sizes, though, and you can do some more research on themto find out what would be the best size for you.
I personally have a Canon MP560, which will scan up to A4 paper. This is convenient for me because it is compact enough to fit on my desktop while also doubling as a printer. However, there are some issues when scanning my larger sketchbook drawings. If you get a smaller pinter and have this problem, just scan the image in parts and patch them together in an art program.

Don't know if I can help you much, but I can say you're giving her more curves than she deserves.
Also, the face is pretty accurate, but I'll assume she wants to look more flattering.

I dunno if I'll be building blue Crasher today, my eye hurts.
Also, I randomly started getting into papercraft stuff while researching references on a request for my cousin.
And then I found this

I apologize for the quality of the photos, they are cell phone pictures, and horrible ones at that.
@ Bob and Kinsei: The more I look at it, the more it bothers me too.
Then again, I tend to notice a lot of little faults in my art which may completely unnoticeable to others but annoys me to no end.
@ Mab: Thanks :P
I might upload it to the portal later, but cba to now.
Also, final version below (or, as finished as I care to make it)

In the beginning of this thread, it says "The top 16 artists will then be selected for the second round."
However, it's understandable that the rules may have changed since then, since so many people had joined.
So, it the Art Entries thread, you (Sketchy) posted, "The top 32 highest scored artists will then continue on to the next round"
Now. I realize that you may just say, "Well, this just eliminates a round!" As that may be, I believe personally (and I'd like to think I speak for others as I say this) that I made my piece to the best of my ability, but that was also in the thought that I could be in the top 32, not the top 18.
Just a thought. If you disagree, then whatever. But I'm on Aigis' side.
Besides, an extra round can't hurt anyone.

the entire time I looked at the first round as a preliminary. To seperate out the people who either will participate, or for whatever reason not go on to the next round. Be it dropping out or work not up to snuff.
Next round I imagine is when shit's gonna get real.
Still, how is this gonna be determined? Are all of the participants gonna get through or will there still be a cut-off?
It just seems that we shouldn't waste time judging when almost everyone is going to get through.
Unless, of course, you want to just have a ranking for who "won" the first round, or whatever.
