This seems like a good idea cause truth be told, all clubs do need ranks.

Mario related contests

Hmm that should be cool, but what should we do for prizes? I was thinking that winners can recieve a custom sig that can be made from one of the sig creator clubs.

Informative posts regarding certain games, and release dates

Heh yea I like doing these but it would be great if others did this as well.

Earning Coins

Im not sure what you mean by this one.

Any opinions on these ideas?

I'll keep you lot updated on the chaos with the big-screen.

Oh man bad idea playing video games on big screen TVs. The thing is, with soo many pixels and graphics along with other stuff working on your TV, it will basically destroy it after you repeatedly play it on a big screen TV (by destroying I mean it will burn your TV). This is the reason why your TV has gone on a fritz. I know this cause Ive read articles on this very same topic and that also the reason why I dont play video games on my big screen. FIrst step in keeping your TV in some what of an intact shape is to STOP playing video games on it. I know its fun and all and that the characters look super sweet on it but trust me, its really bad for big screen TVs. For more information on this topic go to this

Small possibility that I might get that....

I'm also thinking of getting Super Mario Strikers, is that worth the money?

Just so you know, I don't play soccer games often but SMS looks interesting.

Hmm SMS, hmm well okay heres what I think. The game seems pretty fun even though the IGN people gave it a 6.8, most readers gave it an average of 8.9. The game reminds me a lot of the Mario Power Tennis in the powerups and just the way the game looks. But yea I believe it would be a good game to purchase but the best way to judge it for yourself is to read some reviews and/or rent the game. For those who do not know much about this game, here some information for you:

The game known as Super Mario Strikers features all the characters you have come to love in any Mario game. Along with "powers" such as freezing enemies with an "ice" shell the game puts a topsy-turvy spin to the game of soccer. This game is a 4-player game so that all your friends can join in the crazy fun. The game will be released for the Gamecube on December 5, 2005. For more information on this game and some reviews, go here.

Hey sorry i havent replied in awhile but this week has been really really busy but whatever Im back so now on to Mario...

The newest game Ive heard about so far that is supposed to be announced in 2006 in the US is called Mario Basket 3on3. Supposedly this game is made by the people that brought you Final Fantasy and stars the characters from Mario. Its supposed to come on the DS. The controls are basically your DS stylus and touchscreen for ball handling. With special moves for the characters and power-ups (one such is turning enemies into coins) the game should be quite fun. The game is set to release in Japan on December 31, 2006 so we may have awhile to wait.

First off I found some good information on Super Princess Peach for those who havent really heard about it. This game allows you to try something new in that you are able to play as Peach and not Mario. This time the game flips the usual story line in that Mario has now been captured and Princess Peach must go save him. She is accompanied by her trusty umbrella which is supposedly named Kassaa. This magic umbrella allows you to hit enemies and float. The game allows you to choose levels of a world map which im pretty sure is going to be just like Super Mario World. You can also buy items from the shop. The game will be realesed in the US on February 27, 2006. For more information, go here.

Does anybody have any ideas on what will be in store for Nintendo's revolution?

Now about the Revolution. The only information I could find was off of Nintendo. Here are some key points. (All bullets quoted from Nintendo so for more information, go here.

-->The new console boasts high-quality materials and a smart, compact design, approximately the size of three standard DVD cases stacked together.
-->The new console plays all games from the current Nintendo GameCube generation. (supposedly theres more but Nintendo hasnt released this information yet.)
-->The console also will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
-->A bay for an SD memory card will let players expand the internal flash memory.
-->Instead of a tray, a single, innovative, self-loading media bay will play both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system as well as Nintendo GameCube discs. (you can also equip this small add on to watch DVDs)
-->The system boasts 512 megabytes of internal flash memory, wireless controllers, two USB 2.0 ports and built-in Wi-Fi access.
- ->Introduction of a number of new franchise properties will add to the world’s richest stable of stars, including Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong and Metroid.
-->A number of Wi-Fi-enabled launch titles are in development that will employ Nintendo’s newly announced wireless gaming service, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
-->A dynamic development architecture equally accommodates both big-budget, high-profile game “masterpieces” as well as indie games conceived by individual developers equipped with only a big idea.

So yea basically this sytem is going to be sweet and Im hoping that the DVD add on will be free, Im really hoping because with all these cool things...

Sorry I just had to ask. Oh and one more thing. Did you know in Japan, the new game Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time will be called Mario & Luigi RPG 2x2. Yep just an interesting tid bit.

Wow sorry I havent been posting lately but Ive been really busy. But whatever heres the latest news on Mario. This is my part 1 of 3 series on Mario in DS. Since you all have probably heard enough about Mario Kart DS, I decided to look for a new game and I found one. Its called Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time or otherwise known as Mario & Luigi 2 (Mario and Luigi 2), Mario and Luigi II, and Mario and Luigi DS.

Synopsis:
This game is the sequel to the game Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. In this game, Mario and Luigi team up again and this time, they go back in time. Their mission (as always), save Princess Peach. However, since they are back in time, along the way of their journey, they happen to bump into their past (baby) selves along with baby Princess Peach and baby Bowser.

Cool New Things About This Game:
-In this game, you get to be both Mario and Luigi as adults and babies.
-"Players use the top screen to study the land, keep track of the pair of brothers not under their control or maximize combo moves in battle" <=quote off of IGN.com

The release date for this game is given for November 28, 2005. For more information on this game, go here.

At 11/1/05 05:29 PM, randomwolf1 wrote: Hm, now that is interesting. Marionette puppets eh?
They talk about using the GBA tilt cartridge to control it but I don't think that's what they would have in mind. Do you think they might have scrapped the idea because they had the DS on the way? It would be a much better way of controlling them if you used the touch screen but then you still get this memory problem they talk about. You would need a ton of memory to save it. Maybe this is where the revolution comes in! The DS could link with the revolution and you could control the puppet on the big screen using the touch screen of you DS!

Of course I'm just typing out loud here and I have no proof but it could work =D

Im not really sure. When I looked up the game on IGN it came down for Gamecube so its pretty weird. They could have used it for GBA and Im not sure if it was scrapped because of the DS. I thought that they may have cancelled the game because the basis of the game wasnt interesting enough. They may have thought that not enough people would like to buy it. Like I read the article and I have to admit, it looked cool, but somewhat boring. They would have to add a storyline and things along those lines to get more people to be "pumped" for the game. But yea Im just kinda of typing out loud as well and its just my thought on the game. But yea if anyone else has some ideas please share them!

Sweet job on the collab. It was really interesting how each person had their own view on Mario and it was put together nicely so congrats and two-thumbs up!

Interesting information here. I was on IGN and was looking to see what new Mario games were to come out and I happened to spy this game called Marionette. It was supposed to be published and developed by Nintendo but for some reason it was cancelled. The only information I could pull up for this game was from this site
Marionette . It was first shown on E3 in 2001. Supposedly, this game was a substitute for a type of "Mario Paint" game. Basically, you created a puppet and then "the sky is the limit" as the article put it. After seeing this I was greatly intrigued. This game is very interesting information and is a pity Nintendo could not find a use for this game. This is thus the reason why the game was cancelled.

What did I say?

That's right! I said McDonalds

Nintendo has made a deal with Wayport, a provider of wireless and Wi-Fi services across the US, to provide free service for users in over 6,000 seperate McDonalds

Check here later for more information on it.

Man I can see it now. Hordes of little kids eating fattening burgers while playing DS. Thats a great combination haha. No but seriously that should be pretty sweet. That means you could just pop into a MickeyDs, have some food and race other people in Mario Kart. I CANT WATI!!!

Yea sorry about that I should have explained more about the ad instead of just making a one scentence comment. So lets see first off

MARIO DDR AD THAT I SAW ON CN
Well lets see, the ad was odd in the sense that theres these line of people trying to get into the movie theater and this kid walks up next to the line and trys to cut in. The attendent like (cant really remember for sure) pushes him out and the guys like ensenuates a dance off so he the boy trying to get into the movie starts dancing and then the attendent watching the line starts dancing and then they go to a clip of the real game which looked pretty cool with Mario and they explained some stuff about how there was a lot of cool tracks in the game and blah blah blah. Then at the end of the ad, the attendent is still dancing, the boy slips in, and the people in line waiting to get in just stare at him. I have to say, this may not be the weirdest commercial Nintendo has ever made, but still pretty dang weird.

MARIO KART DS SUPER SWEET!
Mario Kart is going to be one awesome game just because of the wi fi. I cant wait to be able to race people without any lame wires or stuff like that and this is all supposed to be real time. Im not sure what the range of the wi fi is but yea if anyone can answer that. Hmm and oh yea one last thing...30 COURSES!! Yea, that explains it all right there.

like Syrus for example. he has three cards that are like trains and stuff and are all cute looking. they should put some more action type monster on it, even though i do like the cute monsters! Something in the old series that was really wierd was there was a card that was santa cluas. So it least in the new series theres no monsters going HoHoHo merry christmas.

The cool thing about this show is that they will be able to incorporate new cards that they havent been able to do in the Yu-Gi-Oh! show. I think they will restrain from using any of the cards that have already been shown from the old series.
