Personally I dislike killing people for no reason. The Iraqi citizens are going to defend their country because thats what citizens do if it comes down to it.

Here is a scenario: America's military is near non-existant... about 4,000 troops in each state, and China, having armed their entire population are invading. Now, would you let the bigger stronger nation walk over you, while they plan to make life better for you, OR would you find a gun and defend your homeland?

My guess is you're going to defend your country... So why should we assume anything different from the Iraqis???

You have France and Germany taking the moral high ground on an issue that is already dead. Iraq has been in material breach of Resolution S/RES/1441 since 1441 was adopted by the Security Council.

i find it hypocritical to at one point state france and germany are wrong (at least that is the feeling that i get from the way the rest of your post goes) yet later you claim the War on Terror is about Freedom (which you dont want france and germany to show, you want them on the US side... also Freedom of speech, which u seem to want to crush for the opposing view)and Democracy and Peace... (not having a war seems more peaceful to me than having one.)

Face it, Saddam would love nothing better than to see America nuked and I for one (although I am Canadian) won't bear to see it. Americans are not STARTING a war! They are FINISHING a war on TERROR!

actually if the US gets nuked... odds are we would assume it was either Osama bin Laden (a name that went away for about a year from the administrations mouth) or Saddam, and would give President Bush the rationale to prove to the US peope that pre-emptive strikes are good.

So if you leftist pussies think that Saddam would not put his mutual differences aside with Al-Queda to see America nuked than you are as dumb as dirt!

i know they both hate america, and are on the same side by hating the US but that is pretty much there only connection... well that and the Q in IraQ and Al-Qaeda

Go to war America, Canada, Italy, England, and hundreds of other countires are behind you 100% as the guardians of Peace, Freedom and Democracy!

poland, czech repiblic, bulgaria, hungary, austria, lithuania, latvia, spain and portugal are all countries that are behind teh US....

France, China, Russia and germany are agaisnt us... personally i would rather have these countries on my side then the other ones.

At 2/11/03 12:59 PM, Evanauto wrote: Secretary of State Colin Powell told a Senate panel Tuesday that what appears to be a new statement from Osama bin Laden shows why the world needs to be concerned about Iraqi ties to terrorism.

i love how POWELL predicted the tape 2 hours before it came to al-jazeera

Powell said he read a transcript of "what bin Laden — or who we believe to be bin Laden" will be saying on the Al-Jazeera Arab satellite station later Tuesday, "where once again he speaks to the people of Iraq and talks about their struggle and how he is in partnership with Iraq."

how was the transcript made before it was aired??? and osama talks about partnership with MUSLIMS in IRAQ

"This nexus between terrorists and states that are developing weapons of mass destruction can no longer be looked away from and ignored," Powell told the Senate Budget Committee.

then why did we hate to attack the taliban until it was in the US's best interest to attack??? i mean after all they terrorized their women population for 2 or 3 years before the US gave a shit

It was Powell's second appearance before the Senate since his presentation to the U.N. Security Council last week. At that time, he detailed his indictment of Iraq as a deceptive stockpiler of weapons of mass destruction.

honestly im for killing saddam (like everyone is) but where the hell is the shit he is suppose to have?

Lawmakers have praised Powell's U.N. performance, but many Democrats remain skeptical about whether war is necessary, particularly if key U.S. allies remain opposed.

well the US has never started a war before... this openly anyway... the CIA doesnt count

The split between the United States and its allies widened when France, Germany and Belgium jointly vetoed on Monday a U.S.-backed measure to authorize NATO to make plans to protect Turkey if Iraq attacks it. Russia then joined France and Germany in demanding strengthened weapons inspections.

Powell noted that while "much is being said about disagreement in NATO," that 16 members — including the United States and Turkey — back the U.S. position, while three — France, Germany and Russia — oppose it.

poland, romania, bulgaria, hungary, austria, italy, spain, and portugal DON't mean SHIT... this is a fake group... i think all of these countries COMBINED couldn't take Iraq

plus, the people that we're gonna bomb would do the exact same thing to you if they had the chance.

But France will probably veto it, and everyone in the Admin. will say its cuz of those 'cheese eating French pussies' so we go to war, then Saddam lets some chemical weapons to be used against the invading Marines... thus causing the war to become more OR less a Vietnam, in which the army wins most if not all of the battles but the war is lost.

wherever they can afford to. it's not my fault they have that much money, so why should i have to help?

so like i said before, YOUR theory is SCREW EVERYONE ELSE

also lets say your kid gets in a car accident, then YOUR neighbor is paying for HIS kid and YOUR kid... as are you.

was it my beighbor's fault that my kid got in a wreck? NO. why should be responsible in any way (namely, taxes)?

well taxes are what funds the country... they let the military function, the satelites in the sky work, everything the gov't provides is from taxes... and its not your money, after the government takes the money from the PAYCHECK... money that you never see, it becomes teh governments money...

The theory that the government has your money is like going to a store buying somethign then asking for money back. Next time you go to Wal-mart or something buy an item, then ask for 50% of the money you gave back (that doesnt mean $20 for a $10 item... i mean of the money that pays for the item)

basically what ur telling me is screw everyone else...

you are an idiot. i'm saying you're not responsible for others. why should i pay for a service that i don't use?

do you have life insurance? car insurance? or health insurance? Life insurance isnt used until you die, car insurance isnt used until an accident and health insurance isnt used until you're sick... so why have these things if you arent using them???

i'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have a compassionate society where people help others finacially, but that should NEVER be required or forced by the government.

the governments purpose of being is to protect its citizens, by doing this and having welfare programs, America protects the poor.

let's say i send my kids to a private school while my neibor sends his to public school. he pays for his kid's education through his taxes. i, too, pay for his kid's education through my taxes, but i get no help for my kid's education. if it wasn't for the socialization of schooling, there would be much higher quality private schools in this country. and don't say that not everyone can afford it because if people didn't pay for everyone else's anything they'd be able to afford it.

let's say i taught my kids to wash their hands and dress warmly and stay healthy, but my neighbor neglected to do so. his kids get sick, but mine don't. he goes to the hospital and gets "free health care" while i don't need to. he pays for his health care through his taxes. i pay for his health care through my taxes as he does mine, but i don't use it. is that fair? no, of course not.
