I love Faith No More to death and wouldn't really put them in this category. Same with Anthrax, who had a few rap collaboration things.

I would put in Body Count, though.

Pretty much what I was going to post. When you are mature enough to be able to take responsibility for your actions; this includes the possibility of supporting a child, including financially.

Topic: Oral Sex is Sex

Posted: 04/07/05 05:05 PM

According to dictionary.com:
Sex: Sexual intercourse.

sexual intercourse, however, is inconsistent in different dictionaries:
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=sexual%20intercourse

I'd probably say that oral sex is not sex, but is a sexual act. Or something.

Soundgarden and AIC are both great, but I'd definately give the nod to Alice in Chains.
DIRT is a perfect album.

If you like AIC, check out Jerry Cantrell's solo stuff, especially Degradation Trip Volumes 1 & 2 .

Topic: Majority of NG users are...

Posted: 02/14/05 03:55 AM

Forum: Politics

I'd say that most NG users are uninformed politically...not because of their stances themselves (liberal, conservative, or otherwise) but rather because their arguments are not well thought out and do not have sufficient reasoning. This is likely related to the fact that NG has a relatively young (that is, high school) fanbase; they are still forming their ideas and becoming more mature.

That said, I'm 19 and I'm a libertarian. I favor the least government intervention in individual affairs, as well as a general restructuring of the current system. I am NOT an anarchist, and while I support plenty within the Libertarian Party, I am not a member. In my more formative years, I was a republican.

* The Rippingtons, Malmsteen
* Satriani, Vai, Johnson
* Santana, Lukather, Hendrix

In other words, people that can play the guitar better than everyone else.

Check out Dream Theater (John Petrucci) and Symphony X (Michael Romeo). These guys are right up there with Satriani and Vai.

Topic: FDA may reconsider morning-after

Posted: 06/10/04 12:22 AM

Forum: Politics

The article runs high on emotion but rather low on fact.

"I've heard that the fact that it may promote promiscuity is the main objection to its availability."

"I've heard?" That's no source! This article is working around this assumption, which may not be true. Aborting a pregnancy (the morning-after pill is an abortion) can have profound effects on the body, and it is entirely possible that the pill may have some previously unknown dangers, outside of the political issues.

Since this will probably be an abortion thread, I must state that I oppose abortion on a libertarian basis: that is, abortion works against the rights of the unborn individual.

Posted: 06/10/04 12:15 AM

Forum: Politics

In reality, it is very hard to estimate crowds of protesters.

Additionally, it's also not a reliable look at those who oppose a certain person or policy due to their nature. Protests are usually rather general in grievances than specific. Also, many who oppose certain policies may feel that logical and rational debate may be more effective than placing one-liners on signs and yelling.

The reason is that your browser did not load the CSS file for the front page. The CSS file contains certain formatting rules, including the one used for making the links yellow.

Bush's excursions were diplomatic, not for campaign purposes.

I honestly believe that an American-style democratic republic (strictly based on our Constitution) is the best. Most of our problems, in my opinion, are based on deviations from the system of checks and balances.

In theory, I suppose the USA could lose some influence because of this. However, the EU is not the most stable of governments/alliances, and certain countries inside of it often move against the tide (the UK and Ireland, for example). I wouldn't be surprised if it disbands in the next 20 years, if that long.

That's not necessarially true. The US isn't exactly thrilled with the whole idea of building this wall (remember the Berlin Wall?), and it is a strong possibility that it would vote against Israel on this issue.
