ACtually, If you visit the site you can tell that the requirements are a lot lower.
1.2 GB of RAM..... No dual processor.... but it would be nice.... About 2 GHz Processor I think...

Your right... hackthissite.org is a good site, but i found most of my information from Books.
Without these books I'd have no clue how to secure my site against basic script kiddie attacks or even commit them for that matter. So pretty much asking to become a hacker is bad, you must earn your way off reading and learning from courses. Hackthissite.org is more of a practice area...
