magic died after invasion set, now they are giving specific cards abilities a name and making entire sets round them, and also making madaf@king broken cards to compensate their lack of creativity
they remouved the cards that could be used in a thoughtful strategy AKA my beloved "counterspell" and making cards like:
1 mana -creature 5/5 lifelink protection fron black and red, if u have more than 1/2 lives u win the game

so basicaly they are making a game for ppl that doesnt wanna think too much, in fact i heard new players that use eldrazi saying that Counterspell was broken.... luckly for them we r not in the 90' were u could find Mana Drain....

to conclude, i live in argentina and im having a hard time finding casual players in these days, there are turnaments, but they are almost all standart, and no way in hell im playing those..

StarCaft 2, i cant believe that ppl like it, it destroyed and cr@pped in the memori of StarCraft 1, it took away all the good units, it deformed the ones that remained making the unusable (see Ghosts without lockdown), it just took away everything that u could use to make a personal strategy (not that g@y thing of looking for strategies in the internet that takes away the "strategy" of strategy games), maps in 1 were more mazie, i hate new map style in sc2, and that cr@p of u beeing able to fly rounding the map as it was some kinda island or something
but it has better graphics.... listen to me guys, future of gaming is simple games, where u dont have to think at all.. but that have kickass graphics

Empire earth 1, best strategy game ever made, there are few communities of it and is not that famous as age of empires, but its 15 times better than it, Empire earth 1 has 14 eras (15 with expansion), has the most ingame freedom ive ever seen in a strategy game, humungus amount of units, custimizable civilizations, 5 different resources, its just a lil bit too much of a game, and as it has 14 eras u can play a stone age war game, madieval, re industrial, roman, ww1,ww2, a couple of eras in the future just to name some

Timesplitters, a much better shooting game that Halo, has more modes, a huge amount of funny characters, and all kind of weapons and enemies, u have zombies, robots henchmen, hot women, weapons as briks, flamethrower, all kind of pistols, shotguns, machinguns, baseballbat, missile laucher, crossbow, plasma gun, electrotoll etc, etc, etc,etc
