Response to: Acoustic Properties of "Scales" ? Posted March 11th, 2012 in General

imagine put a Scale Mail( like the medieval one's ) a giant
one, covering a entire wall, and make a "sandwich" inside
wall, like this:

Wall+Acoustic Foam+Scale Mail+Acoustic Foam+Wall

The vibration( sound ) is better capture by the Scale Mail,
because of its tiny size ( the scales ) and the fact that its
scales are "separated" from each other, then the scales
vibrates more easily, dispersing the vibrations through the
acoustic foam, like this the scale mail doesn't make noise
when vibrates.

Did you guys think that would work? Make sense to you guys?

Yeah ^^ Probably
I think the material and the size of scales, even
their form, would influence on the final result,
obviously. Can the size of the scale influence
what frequency they gonna cut?

Yeah :/ True ^^
But i'm really curious to know how it sounds.

Don't make your music room full of scales. Please.

LOL!
I don't man XD
I know it's a crazy idea like i said,
but i'm thinking, it doesn't need to
be seen by the musicians, can be
something IN THE WALL, you know?
Like an Extra Layer of "Acoustic Isolation",
i just want to know "What would happen if i
do somenthing like that?", that idea is haunting
me, driven me crazy :P

PROs and CONs of use one in a MUSIC STUDIO?

i know...it's a crazy question, but i'm really curious to know the answer.

I think i read an article talking about of something like "SCALES WALL ",
but i don't know where.

Alan Wake is a thriller not a horror game.

Sorry :P
For Horror, what you guys understand?

And Tremors is awesome! XD
Recently i'm downloading MONGOLIAN DEATH WORMS
in my country they translate as Tremors 4, here is:
"O Ataque dos Vermes Malditos"
Something like "The Attack of the Damned Worms" :P

"SPECIES" is an horror movie, isn't it?
Species has a good story too
Well...lots of woman naked...but a good story yet

And what exactly a Thriller Movie? O.O
Isn't a Suspense or a Horror movie, then what is it? O.O

Response to: Horror movies with a good story Posted March 9th, 2012 in General

I Like Stephen King based movies
What exactly are you looking for, history of what in horror, you know?
There is everything, from alien movies and "cthulhu" based movies to reality
horror movies and science fiction horror.
Coincidentally, i was looking for good story horror movies, i sincerely prefer
movies like THE MIST
Cthulhu feelings, you know? :P
The unknowing of what exactly you are dealing with, and things like that.
I like movies with some sorts of realism, that explore human mind and behaviors
Like THE SHINING
There is so much good horror movies!
And games too, like ALAN WAKE

The funny thing is, all of them( the movies i said above, including the game ) are based or inspired
by Stephen King books, or in Stephen King itself, like ALAN WAKE, he is a horror fiction writer, well...
horror fiction just to the moment when it comes to be the reality to him LOL :P

The name dogs on acid sticks out, but I've never been there.

I think there's a sticky with a list somewhere, but with the redesign I don't know where any of those have gone.

Also, your English is fine.

Thanks!
I'm a little lost in this redesign too.
"Dogs on Acid" LOL! It's a nice name! LOL
I'm going in this sites, and thanks again ^^

Thank you all for your help. I am Brazilian and I confess that it is a little
hard for me to read and understand the rules, because English is not
is my native language, mostly Google Translate helps me, but it's not a
very accurate translation, I try to fix with my limited knowledge of English.
Too bad there is no area of the forum to address various languages %u200B%u200Bas a
Brazilian area, would greatly facilitate the users in other countries. not to
turn a mess, using the native language of each country is limited to their
area in the forum, all the rest should be used as English. Questions remain
after reading what I was told, re-read the rules, and also the rules and all
of the NAC, when and where they announce the theme? It's just post the
song she is already participating in the NAC or have something else I should
do? A music song I've posted can participate or must be posted in the period
of NAC in the month that I want to participate?

Thank you for helping me and guiding me.

How can i participate Posted July 18th, 2011 in Audio
