I actually had to google what you meant OP since I've never heard them called that before, but I prefer my closed-end headphones, when I travel to work or uni I have open end headphones and I listen to whatever and it sounds ok, but say when i listen to the same song at home on my closed-end headphones, I just feel that the sound quality is 100x better not to mention i'm not having to put it back in my ear every 30 seconds. Sometimes I forget my headphones at home are even on my head because the ear rest cushions are so comfortable.

I genuinely feel sorry for people who have to live with conditions such as these.
