Alright, that didn't work ^^^^
I'll include a picture of the image I'm talking about to help make sense.

Chart with links.

Chart with links. Posted August 8th, 2007 in Game Development

Is there a way, in flash, to have an image, say...a chart or something with two columns and 3 rows. In each row/column is a picture. Is there a way to link these pictures to different websites or something. I hope what I'm describing makes sense.

If I made the image in photoshop, then put it into flash as one image, something like this:
__________________________
| | |
| hit area | hit area |
| | |
|____________ |____________|
| | |
| | |
| | |
|____________ |____________|

Of course that looks like crap but hopefully you get the idea. The image is one solid graphic but broken up into different images. Is there a way to make each broken up image a link? Hopefully it makes sense and someone can help me. :P

Wow. That is awesome. Very much something I was looking for. I'm still up for suggestions, but this almost hit the nail on the head.

Superhero themes Posted March 26th, 2007 in Audio

If there are any bored audio artists out there, I have a request. :P
I've browsed the audio portal for a while, trying to find some type of song that would make a good superhero theme song. I'm not interested in anything lyrical or techno. So, if there is anyone that feels they could make one, and have nothing better to do, I have a request. I'm looking for a song that is drum and trumpet heavy. Classical sounding, that really gives that "superhero" feeling. When you hear it, you want to look up and see that hero coming to the rescue.

Well I created a guy along the lines of "Pinball"
Powers: The ability to form his body into a large hard ball capable of travelling at high speeds.

It's a large picture, and I don't know how to make it a thumbnail or anything, so the best I can do is this.

Here is what I guess you could call a "thumbnail" but I wasn't sure how to link the image. So for the full version click above.

Thanks, and sorry about the text. I'm still experimenting with photoshop, and the best way to color pictures, etc. I just draw then, scan them, color them, then place the text. I might have placed the text then resized in Number1. Either way, thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the compliment lol. As for the content, I don't really care for it either. Just something I was doing for a friend.

Alright, I guess I should have cleared this up from the beginning. My friend wanted me to draw him as Wolverine. The same friend in the comic. Hope that straightens it out, and that nobody thinks I'm crazy for doing it.

lol I should have seen that coming.

First of all, the addition of the art forum is awesome. Now to the meat of my post. I wanted to see what you all thought of my "pictures". Some of you are some serious artists, so I'd love to get some opinions.

Whoa, I just realized that I can do that too. I am also left handed. Guess that's an advantage?

Response to: Mouse vs Pen and Tablet Posted January 8th, 2006 in Game Development

Yeah, I'm gonna invest in a tablet. Hopefully it makes things easier for me. I might use the pen and mouse combo, b/c it sounds ideal for me, lol.

Alright cool, thanks for all the responses. I did this with a Mouse (http://i19.photobuck..97/JWall227/test.sw

) This is just a test, as it is literally my first attempt at anything after viewing a few tutorials. I don't suck at drawing, but I feel the quality of my pictures are lowered with the mouse. Here's some stuff I drew with pencil, etc (http://i19.photobuck..97/JWall227/JGun.jp

Again, not the best work in the world, but I don't think I suck at drawing, lol.
Again, thanks for you input, b/c I'm gonna major in Computer Graphics, so all criticism will be positively accepted.

Mouse vs Pen and Tablet Posted January 8th, 2006 in Game Development

I'm just now experimenting with flash, but had a quick question. I would like to know if hte majority of the 'serious flashers' (haha) use a Pen and Tablet, or mouse. B/c I can do alright with a mouse, but I would think that a P&T would be the way to go. Unless there is some difficulty with it that I am unaware of. Any advice or info would be much appreciated. And thanks in advance.
