every time...
ive uninstalled photoshop and tried using the cleaner tool but this comes up every time.
wow so many responses thanks for responding
KameStudios; i used tv paint
it would probably look better if i went over it in a new layer with a cleaner brush
thanks for responding!
Joe2k; youre so right, i skipped a step...
ill try using this new knowledge to practice more
Celshaded; yea the motion is kind of weird
i have way too many frames if this could be done in ~6
also im gonna try using the mirror more
thanks so much fo helping everyone

it looks wrong to me
can anyone help?
Also, continuity of the lines. It's too small and quick of a movement to have that much "vibration". Not sure if you used a "smoothing" effect, or just had improper line placement/mass continuity, but it's definitely a bit too shaky.
ill try adding some frames in between there,
i have no idea how to get smooth lines, i draw each frame out but the lines are never exactly right
animation-wise
it looks wrong to me
can anyone help?

I like you're style though, and the music was cool.
I'd recommend getting your head around walk cycles.
yeah, I can really see it needs more time in the head turns
thanks,
I'll try doing some walk cycles

lol
yeah man i'm going to keep doing these as often as i can
So these are my first attempts at such animation practices...
I found a list online of things to try, these are only the first few

U see when he raises his head it bloats and changes shape. If you keep close track on the shapes and proportions , you will become really badass! Maybe if you record yourself doing the movements you want to animate , it will help you.
Thanks for the responses you two,
I realized that the head inflated after I made it haha,
I'll try to make key frames next time and just smooth it out from there.
In the mean time, some guy holding a gun!
A head nod to go with that head shake lol
Good times

Yeah I should probably spend more time polishing them, but I always stop after I get everything just blocked in
Here's a sketch thing
Okay I'm done uploading for now.............
Everything is re-sized by the way, to fit NG's standards...
I want to learn how to animate and draw
So I like to use a mirror to animate myself...
It helps with drawing and animating at the same time! wow!

I guess I can only upload one image per post, oh dang
just waiting....

I did some sounds, and all the art

Depends on what you're goal is,
my goal was to get a sense of the environment, I don't do many BG paintings so I learned a lot from this
Does anyone else do thirty minute paintings?
I compressed one of my 30m paintings to a 5m video ;)

hey, I'm looking for some fitting sound effects for this intro I finished animating...
I need something that sounds like feet skidding across the ground, or a woosh noise...
Also someone going "RRRR!"
Or I could just record myself doing that lol
I recorded my own sounds for my other animation intro
Thanks!
I read some opinions on it and it seems like people are leaning towards it not being important, but I want to learn how to create believable characters and scenes that grab your attention...
Would all of that be covered in a generic animation school?
My guess would be yes, but I'm not sure
The only school I have found to look like they can teach you a lot are animwork.dk and calarts,
I'm new to this so anything is helpful
thanks
Thanks for opening this thread lol
I'm looking for critiques on one of my first tries at a walking cycle

it was so short i thought it would be easier just to make it a gif
thanks
If you want a smoke cloud in CS6 you probably need to use the alpha and blur tools. Or just download a extension or something.
Yeah in my other post I said I found out how to use alpha to change the transparency

For making things fade away, the alpha level in the colour palate controls that. Either make things decrease in alpha over time, frame by frame, or cut and paste the smoke cloud frames into a graphic symbol (Press Ctrl+F8 to make a symbol in the first place, each symbol has their own timeline, so that's where you cut and paste the frames into). If you don't know how to put a symbol onto the main timeline, just open the library panel (Ctrl+L) and drag it on. After that, convert the frame that the smoke is on into a motion tween, and put another keyframe at the end, and go into the properties panel and change the colour: settings to alpha at 0%. Sorry if I'm not clear, I don't know if I am.
If you want to show preview files, you can put them in the dumping grounds (third button from the user name at the top) and link us the the files from there. That way you won't have to upload it the the underjudgement for everyone else to see (unless that wasn't a preview files and you did want everyone to see it). :P
When it comes to drawing smoke, I don't know if this will help, but I find thisvery inspirational to me. I've tried drawing a few frames to mimic it, and it's very good practice.
Awesome you're super informative 8D
I prefer the pencil tool after using the brush a lot before because it looks nicer to me,
I figured out how to make a cartoonish smoke cloud and how to make it disappear, thanks!
I'll just stick with uploading my junk to that one place because it's easier to remember lol
