For a friggen high 35 euro's pricetag I do not in any curemstance promote buying this game. It has a whooping 9 map campange in total, meaning 3 maps pr campange. It offers 3 new playmodes and has few new units. This by far cannot be considerd an "expansion-pack" let alone a compleate game.

This is a money grab and as such I do not recommend that you buy it. THQ seems to have gone with the tought of "lets release some crap and see how they react to it" This is disgrace.

Positive side:
new gamemodes, new units and 3 very small campanges.

Grand total:
Its a cheap thrill, but you can get a shitload of weed for that 35 euros

Topic: Misconception of eternal life?

Posted: 04/11/09 12:45 PM

Forum: General

Pr our modern human standard we view eternal life as an idividual person continues life, outside the bounders of life and death. However if we view this on the material level the concept of eternal life changes. We are all made of cells and when our DNA tells us that our time is up we will die. From this point onward of death we start to decompose and become energy contained inside the form of dirt.

Now, if we follow this circle around the plants/animels/insects will consume dirt and absorb the energy/vitamins/minirals that we, were made of. These plants/animels are then consumed by us, the human race. As such, we could be considerd immortal by the diffinition of our circle of life, so to speak.

Then when two the two sex's join to create a form of young, part of that energy/minirals that you and I were made of, would be used to create new protin chains, new cells and such, creating a new idividual and thus the cycle has ended. You could consider yourself immortal by this.

I'd still go with living 500 years if I could, getting killed and eaten would't get any chicks.

See my logic now?

Indeed, jumps across a lot of useless gibberish. At any rate I don't think that killing someone is in any form or way the right thing, even when it seems like the only thing to do. To kill someone has become such a 'normal' thing today that we seem to accept that death, is just something you do - a 'casuel' midsummer activity you do when your bored.

To me it seems like people don't know how serious it really is to lay claim onto someones life. Its not right to kill someone, it just not is. Life is precious and should be preserved.

For the record in terms of the combination of chemicals in cigs, it damages your loungs more then weed, though weed has a slightly more addictive effect if smoked on regualer basis. So, in laymans terms it is more dangerous to smoke zigs then it is to smoke weed.

You can't overdose on weed, thats correct - you would have to 'weed-out' a total of 5kg's in less then 1 houer. By about 200g's you will have passed out. Statistics are based on an avarage weight/size adult, around 85kg for male and 70kg female.

Not nessecarly an asteroid, it could've been a craft from an intelligent spacerace or it could've been an ultimate stroke of luck. We could as well be an experimental creation of someone else. There is many options, some more likely then others.

If life originated from an exterritorial(spelling failed) soure, it would indicate that we were not alone in the universe (source unvrified as of yet). Now put that into view how did these creators manage to create life? I'd go with some kind of metabolic coincidence betwean some enzymies or such.

We humans came from something i'd belive that, life is not just something that seemingly sprouts out of nothing. Any suggestions?

Well yes, the fact you will end up seeing eveyone around die, eventuly you would go insane. But what if it emplaced with eveyone around you? What if eveyone around were "immortal"? Would the end result be a global suicide? As such with the limitation of "mortality" we would be free to research, create and alter eveything around us without the fear of running out of time. But once we learn to master and control nature what is beond that then? We learnd about alien lifefroms (and/or/if) etc etc.

Putting that aside, being able to explore the universe and seeing its ending (possibly advoiding it/altering/recreating/interupting it) for all time, would't that truely be an awsome "destiny"? Imagen the amout of porn you would be able to watch? O_O

And even if such drug were to be made or even exisit, you would be kind of resetting your brain from a historical personality point of view as it would just recreate the old cells. What you would need is a way to force the old cells to copy themselfs into a younger from but to remain the same cell without altering any contence it currently stored.

That sounds about right. From that point onward once the brain is secured you could keep the brain under an artifical support and sort of attach it to a new body or an artifical one for that sake. In time with advance in the nural links betwean the brain and the body includeing how the brain speaks trough the spine, you could in laymans terms just "hook-up" your brain to a new body, bit like a jackstick.

Sounds wierd but also gives you eternal life.

But as such, could't you "just" invent a drug that keept the rejuvination going inside the brain so the brain would continue to replace the lost cells?

Considering that the body is only a shell to support the brain, could you consider yourself "immortal" by replaceing the body with mechanical/cloned parts as they aged with time? Consiquently you could just continue to replace bodyparts for as long as you wish? Even if you replaced the bodyparts would't the brain age as well? Does the brain age like the body or can that be replaced as well?

I say we get out the carpet bombers and bomb them back to the stoneage. Either that or we make an arms embargo in the place.
