It really hasn't changed much, it spells "FAAG" now, that sounds even more like an annoying flamer than it did before...
I noticed the gallery section on a few userpages, I was wondering when it was going to be released properly. It looks like a good idea to me, I'll probably submit something soon.

But you better be good at drawing naked porcupines.
When you say original characters, do you mean completely new original characters which have never been seen before outside the game, or could we use original characters which we created before the contest started?
Hey, I'm an artist if anyone needs one, there's clearly not enough to go around...
I do a mixture of frame-by-frame and tweened animation, check out my flash submissions if you want to see what I can do.
It's probably best that you've changed the way money is given out (although I'd hate to be one of the guys who got a monthly award just after you had stopped giving the prize money) this system seems fairer in many respects.
I have one question though: with this new "revenue share" system, is there any advantage to putting flash-ads on your submission as well?
Congratulations!!!
Now the baby either doesn't have a name yet, or Tom is keeping us all in suspense, and the name will be revealed in a dramatic fashion...

Also, I NEED one of those Dad 'n' Me keychains.

Personally, I haven't heard of him, but he seems to be quite famous, however he's not the ONLY famous user to have be given a tablet, what about MetalMaverick, FleckoGold and Mp3-Lock. I think they're quite famous.

I'm using Firefox and it works fine for me, they either fixed it, or it's just your computer...
This is just a random idea I had, it is nowhere near finished, I could improve the detail and mabye put it into a bigger scene or something. Please tell me what you think.
I found two things!!!

Is VERY funny, but I'm not really sure if it counts as "undiscovered" because the author is so well known. However, it does have only 18,787 views and is in no collections.
Mmmkay, not the best Madness Day ever, but it's not quite over yet...
I made a submission, but it hasn't been watched much yet.
I guess I'll just submit my part on it's own then, or mabye I'll put it with some other stuff that isn't done. I suppose you could still submit it as it is, but it probarbly wouldn't get a very good score.
I made some basic Flathead sprites so a sprite animatior may be able to join the collab, if you are a sprite animator and want to join, then please ask the collab leader (xxxflareknightxxx) if you are allowed.
I can obviously make more of these sprites if anybody needs them, just post on this thread what you want made and I'll make it.
P.S. You might want to enlarge them a bit if you make an animation with them.
Okay, I've started work on the menu for the collab, could everybody please post their bios and pictures. I'm sorry if the collaboration may be a bit delayed, but I am quite busy at the moment.
At 6/5/08 08:31 AM, xxflareknightxx wrote: Jtricks, the collab is in your hands. Wait for chunkycheese, thedo12, and Noxx11 for their parts and submit it when you get everything.
Okay, I should be able to do that. I assume this means I have to make the menu as well. I can make menus, but I only have Flash 8, so if anybody has made their part in Flash 9 they will need to convert it or something.
Also, could everybody in this Collaboration please post your bios on this thread, and pictures to represent yourselves (preferbly Flathead style but not if you don't want to)

I think it's a bit late for you to join now, since the deadline (3rd June) has already passed.
Sorry for multiple posts, but here is a picture of me, FLATHEAD STYLE.
I have a few ideas to share:
Firstly, have you decided on the music for the collab yet, if you haven't then I will suggest this:
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1 0836
It has a sort of happy, upbeat feel (good for flatheads), and it's made by Dan Paladin himself, which makes it even more appropriate for this collaboration.
I also had this idea for the bios: everybody in the collab could draw a sort of profile picture of themselves, as a flathead. It's just a random thought that I had, and it might be quite funny.
At 5/30/08 02:23 AM, xxflareknightxx wrote: Soz for triple post, but remember JTricks and Noxx11, send me your bios. I really need them because no-one else is doing the menu and now I gotta.
I have sent you my bio, it was in the email that I sent you with the .fla in it. I can send it again or PM it if you want me to.
At 5/28/08 06:02 PM, HappyPill wrote: Well, I have been trying to do frame by frame animation but have run into a couple problems. Everytime I draw a head or something, it either gets bigger of smaller than the first frame. I don't want this. I've been doing the skins to see what the first frame looks like, but however hard I try, it always gets bigger or smaller.
What you need to do, is draw your charcter in the first frame, then create a new keyframe a few frames along with the same character in a different position. Then you create another keyframe inbetween the first and last frames and draw your character in the position between the two. If you do this (instead of doing it one frame at a time) the character should stay the same size and shape throughout the animation. Don't forget to use onion skinning and practice lots.
P.S. If my explanation was a little hard to understand then here is a tutorial that may help:

Thats awesome man. You're definitly in. That was very funny.
Thanks for saying so, I'm surprised about how it turned out actually. It was my first attempt at proper frame by frame animation, and as you know, I'm only 13.
YES, SOMEONE ELSE LIVES IN ENGLAND! BUt, anyway mah part is doin ok, drawn the 'other' flatheads, and currently doing the background :)
YES, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! So this collab now has at least two English animators.
I'M BACK!!!
I've been in Germany with my school for the past few days and I have been unable to access the internet. I hope this collab is still going well, does anybody have any idea what time it will be submitted?
YES!!! It's finally done.
Here is the link to the animation: http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/210508/8 2749_flathead-collab2.php
Here is the link to the .swf file: http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/210508/8 2749_flathead-collab2.swf
Hope it's okay, I have to get some sleep now (it's 11:00 pm here).
My animation is nearly complete, I'm going to Germany tomorrow with my school and I will be back home after the deadline, so I hope I will be able to get it done tonight.
P.S. I'm in England, its past 10:00 pm here.
I have started my part and it should be done by the deadline. I have tried not to completley copy Dan Paladin's style, they are still Flatheads obviously, but I tried to give them a bit more of a unique style. My part is mostly in black and white, with just small amounts of colour here and there for effect.
Here's a screenshot from my part, how does everybody think it's going? Feel free to criticise or comment on it becuase I would like to know if anything needs improvment.
