Well, of course, and I did one too, and I could do yet another one, but the point is fig will get mad for not using his (which he offered up to do, no one back then was against it, so you're against it now?) but whatever :P
So... would you prefer the explosion ending? Or would you have another sugestion for an ending (something that could be done quickly) for me?

as for your part, I really like it so far, the style is much better than the one you used on the kirby collab, lots of movement, nice expressions, looking forward to it ;)

In any way, would you prefer then the explosion ending? All id have to do is follow gustavoss sugestion regarding dee and it should be ready monday-tuesday...

However, if you HAVE to have gore... at least make it realistic. I mean... if you drilled someone in the side, their arm wouldn't fall off for no reason. Make it so he gets drilled in the side or something. Otherwise, keep it like it is without the gore. :P

Im pretty sure he wont like that then, neither will he want to re make that part, so this maybe this discussion right here is more between you and fig, I seriously dont know what side to partake here, while I do think the audience will appreciate more figs ending, your point about the arm falling for no reason is sure to be picked on by the stupid haters...

I think I can say Im "done", besides additional criticism and changes, Ive taken every suggestion so far, and the "DRILL KIRBY!" doesnt fit anymore with the way the part is now arranged...

mine and simpleanimator's are mixed up D:
feedback:
1. The preloader should automatically start since you got that title screen
2. On the title screen the pixel and the perfect should be smaller and the menu should be in the middle
?. Either that above, or have the title on the preloader, pixel on the left side, perfect on the right, ryucopter's go on the sides of the loading bar, then send people straight to the screen with everyone
4. Add a play all where the title goes on the screen with everyone, then have each loop fade in / out have about 1.5 loops on the screen at a time, and let each loop play 2-4 times depending on lenght

great stuff besides that :D

As for dee, I understand your idea, but I need then flash's decision as well, since keeping the gore would mean changing that part to fit your suggestion, thats why I planned on having him quickly come back too looking at the camera, I could always make it a bit longer too, and I dont think it will affect the part in the end...

so @gustavos: Do you agree with having him quickly come back, or do you think its better as you suggested, to me right now its all the same thing, but since I should have the time, I would be able to do that if ya'll prefer...

I think it's better off being text. Maybe a quick sound bit plays simultaneously, but I always hated narrators trying to set the scene when it's supposed to be a comedic short.

As for an announcer saying "Drill Kirby". It wouldn't harm the skit, but I don't think it needs it either. What do the rest of you guys think? Would "Drill Kirby!" enhance the humor/animation/mood?

I dont think it would enhance the humor, but I believe it would enhance the mood

Say, it looked awkward how Waddle Dee's face is still looking at the camera, frightened, but never looks at Kirby beside him, who is doing the threatening. This would have worked in a scenario where somebody puts a gun to somebody else's head, but that's not quite the case here. You think you can make Waddle Dee look at Kirby when he appears?

I agree, but if he kept looking at kirby, wouldnt he just go running? if hes got the nuts to do one thing, he must have for the other... So wattabout:
waddle dee slowly moves his face to the side, already scared, then quickly goes back to looking at the camera, more scared

@flashfire: that spin was hard I tell you, I indeed agree, however:
I have no idea how to do it:
-Doing it full anime style would be too hard
-I've tried doing it some 2 different ways and it looked to weird
-fhasgfjkhfuqeegfcjkha too effin' tired
-only way I could do it would be like having a drill grow out of Kirby when hes still glowing, I'll inbetween it to the standing pose and have the glow fade off, would take some time but I should have it done by next weekend, and, as i much as I could do it, I don't wanna D:
now if you want, I'll do that, putting effort into it, but if it looks weird, I'm not gonna try even once more D:<

all I needed was a loud bang and presto
but then fig suggested it would be better with gore and such, and he offered himself to do that for me, and so he kindly did, both are good for me, while mine leaves with a good bang, I find the expression change right there on fig's ending more comical, In the end, I feel the audience will appreciate fig's more, but thats my opinion, so anyways, choose the ending you want, but expect fig getting mad, oh wait, he already is mad :P (the other ending could always be an easter egg/outtake though)

So the rythym of a pose is kinda like what makes it look alive, right?
You acheive it when you pose someone in the middle of their movement, even if in a drawing, as if youre were doing a sculpture and its based on an inbeetween, hopefully thats it.

@PBass: Maybe we could have more challenges regarding actual animation, like trick no one knows, or like "Show me an example by yourself of __________", I prefer these since you usually learn something you didnt know, because most of these questions right now are too "I have no idea... google time" (although I did know it was chaplin, because of the mustache of course, I never knew his "favorite" movie of his was the gold rush, and in the end as much as I appreciate his work, its not a fact I care much about...)
Some of these questions are great, and questions like the last few ones are ok as long as we dont only have those (no need to only have animations ones either, well... you get my point)

@harvs:
1. At the start, where you got kirby going down, may I recommend you using something like a motion guide? you could then achieve a perfect parabola instead of that awkward shifting of angles, and its like 2 minutes work
2. BG is nice
3. Maybe take a bit more time and remove all sprites having actual drawings
4. Add maybe like one or two inbeetweens to the enemy's flying loop
5. That walk cycle at the end is kinda awkward, I cant explain it, but its like jumpy
but yeah, nice stuff overall, also, may I see the script?

Well, either youre gonna waste a whole bunch of post-it blocks, or you're making an effing machine to work on an actual animation, so just draw comics, learn how to draw what you can't, get one of those magazines, practice, etc...

Indeed, thats getting a first, however:
1. Every single day we should have one or two good competitors, so really... its not like a second/third today will kill us, its all luck you know... we could end up with the same award if we wait... or not :P
2. A really high scoring submission like that will probably stop other big 4.00 contenders from coming by, so even just with a low-ish blue (3.60?) (even though I belive we will get like 3.80), a daily second/third should be garanteed ;)

so I dunno, but I vote for submitting today, im not sure about everyone else, I think jacco agres with me too though (read last few posts), but if you guys want a first then just wait for it...
