How about till wednesday (tomorrow, 2nd) for "joinage", until tuesday (8th) for a small preview and a bios icon, and until the 14th (monday) for final entries fla, No exceptions, this way, smirk and rainbow can have a shot, we can add the icons and iron out everything, and submit from the 15th to the 19th or something like that)

We can iron out a few things this weekend, and add the last icon(s?) along with minor changes next weekend

Also, does anyone know how many skits RLFHOG voiced?

Well, I calculate the collab to be at arround 6 minutes and 40 seconds (with some quick credits), with 11 parts by 9 authors, yall know what that means? all artists + RLFHOG coed
Most collabs are 4 minute long, plus people should spend 20 secs or so in the menu
There are still some things to iron out I suppose (parts order, little menu changes, some coding) but that shouldnt take a lot of time...
So, does everyone agree we should close on entries?
@RainbowHorse: If you respond quickly with a part "script", and with a couple days later a good preview, well give you some time to work on it...
@psychofig: I'd still like to see it, if there is a way to finish it well and in a couple seconds, I suppose Im up for it...

Thanks, the original kss song did loop well, so now the menu is done and in ffex's hands
Im traveling from the 12th to the 27th, so I hope everyone (scott and ffex) finishes their parts quickly, then ffex will have time to add in bios and what not, and hopefully well submit it still this month :D

Dynablade works fine, but if anyone has a suggestion of some audio artist that can whip a loop up... (I'm gonna take a look At The non-remixed version of that from kss though, maybe that makes a better loop)

but yeah, the intro messed up the music, and Ive got this invisible exhale thing along with kirby, and no matter what it always shows up in the first frame (and thats why I have that fader :P), without the fader, it looks plain ugly...
The music on the bios can still be added, but the intro wont...
And besides all that, flash keep trolling and messing up the frame labels D:
I really hope the frame labels problem is at least only local...

sorry for double post...

Im not even going into detail on how the intro messes up everything, and on how music on the bios page equals complete fail, flash randomly skips 1 or 2 frames whenever I use a friggin frame label, and just adding back buttons to the scene select was a pain... right now by only adding a preloader, the whole menu works like a charm, but editing anything else messes up something, if you guys want a feature in, add them yourselves D:<
right now, I'm just gonna make sure what I have right now works, and send that right away to ffex...

on a less mad note, sorry guys, at least clickable doors are in ;)

BIOS/SC: I'm between dynablade overworld and all star rest area, all star is great and has a certain bubblyness I can't explain, but I can't get it to loop right... since with every 20 sec the song gets more and more profound, i'd have to make a 20 second loop, possibly with the help of some audio artist...

Now I'll make the little intro, its gonna be really simple, kinda like kirbys smash bros (normal, melee and brawl I believe) entrance...

It is organized, I'm just not in the mood to do it today anymore...
should I have him jump out of the warpstar, or crash it into the ground?

also, I'm not too sure, but I think having three 2 min songs just on the menu is not gonna end well...
right now ive set qual to mono 16 bit mp3 and the menu is over 1 mb, being 90% of that the song...
maybe only one for both scene and bios, not a big fan of the all star one, but I'll test it out with the bios and see how it sounds...

the collab is still open, you can join, but to do so however, you need to show us examples of your work and we need to approve your "joinage", please read the new rules in page 37 ;)

also, should the music also play in the Scene select and bios?

on a side note, flash has been a pain lately, frame labels messed up, music messed up, movie clips messed up, so no warpstar intro for now D:<

Well, I'm a huge mashup fan, but I guess the songs in those are often in the same style
I guess I am close minded then, so I'll try it out, I guess it can mix well with the menu, it definitely has the pace that would work the best with the menu...
Regarding the planets: you'd have to draw 15 of them, some would make no sense (spaguetti/credits/cook)
and people wouldnt get a real preview of the part, but yeah, the complicatedness lies in the fact you'd have to draw 15 planets, and make them all fitting to their respective parts (say cook, UFO, drill, you would make planets shaped like those, no? But with so many that would fall into that case, they wouldnt be planets anymore...)

Personally I enjoy the factory one alot. Just my opinions though, tell me what you think. Also the music in "All Star Melee" from smash bros. on the resting area is good ambient music, and I know It's from a Kirby game

My idea was to have something grassy, first-stage-y, and thats why I chose popstar, but altough it fits the theme, it doesnt fit too much with the fact that the menu has no enemies, no action in it...

Loading bar warpstar: as long as we are using a traditional loading bar (unlike last year) It's in!
sprites thingy: thats the thing, some ppl want the filter thingy, and some dont...
scene selection: as in mouse = kirby on warpstar? if yes, I like the idea, but I fear that 15 (14 + Credits) icons on that roulette, a bg full of stars, and a kirby mouse would crowd things too much...

Also, I'd still like some opnions on the music...

regarding other shit: I added koozers between the brontos, and added some mountains ;)

ALSO, anyone has any idea for a preloader? if none, we could just make it the main menu but without music and with the little doors blocked by yellow/black stripes...

aaalso, what do you guys think about the music, for me it fits, but it doesnt fit, I can't explain it, its like it does the job, but it could do a better one...

First, thanks, second, after a few tries, I discovered that:
AS blur lags as hell
Filter/tween blur also lags a bit, requires a bunch of mcs, and for some reason, when I told flash to go to that frame of the mc, where blur was equal x, it would do so, but it would stay there, it wouldnt "refresh"...
