Response to: Collaboration "Idea" Lounge. Posted August 9th, 2010 in Collaboration

I find it sad too that this thread is so overlooked, the main problem with it is that most people post their threads without thinking too much about the ideas, AND, people who post their ideas here dont get any feedback, or very little... I love participating in collabs, but I say there are very few collab ideas who really attract me, of course I liked the ideas of the ones I joined in the past, but right now there is only one collab in this forum which Im interested in: The dub collaboration, I may join that, But I dont wanna until I have other projects finished, plus most people in there are better than me...

Anyways, two collab ideas I liked so far from here:
-Underage collab (Goat-Man)
-Ipod shuffle thingy collab (RazorHawk)
both of them still need some more thinking, but could become awesome collabs

I expected that, well, someone has to do something though, some stuff in this collab is just so awesome, I dont wanna let it die like this...

Can't you make a better one? :P
both of these are kinda bad, first dont re-use mcs from old collabs who never came to be (that robot one seems like something for the robot collab, maybe not, im definetly not going back to check the thread), and also, if the head is spinning, the body should two, and third, that little trail of poo or watever should move along with him...
and maybe make something less random, either make one really cool thing (not just slap three mcs together), or make a birthday message...
you do some good stuff, but your parts for this collab are just rushed...

Response to: Question to animators and artists? Posted July 25th, 2010 in Animation

I'd suggest you start by searching and reading about the 12 basic principles of animation (google that up) and seeing some other basic tutorials, like walk cycles and lip sync, then practice, practice, practice, it also helps if you like cartoons a lot, since you accidentally learn some stuff from there and if you have already developed a "sweet n simple" drawing style of your own (heh, I still gotta develop that, only started drawing more after I started animating :P)

In my case I started with pivot and moved on to flash due to more possibilities, I still havent developed an unique drawing style I really like, as you can see on my animations, I use characters that already exist, also, just my opnion here: start with frame by frame, if you start with tweens, you'll grow to be a lazy animator, with limited movements, while by starting with frame by frame, you can still learn some great tricks to speed up the animation process, and improve the final product.

@scottwjsm: ForNoReason!
@gustavos: nice idea :P

Also, time to post my ideas:
Cook kirby: Kirby wins "Top Chef: Dreamland" by well, cooking his opponents (ive got this one really developed, but I still need to jot it down more, id just like to say that if you also have an idea for cook kirby, please tell us, if I feel ur idea is better ill give you the spot, but for now i like the idea of my part and its my spot)

Clean Kirby:
-this is the kind of surprising skit, having two surprises, the first one more "wtf" and the second one more "lol"
-heres the script:
*kirby rolls in the screen a la anime*
*kirby shrinks himself and starts to glow with power*
*kirby breaks the glow barrier, blasting glass everywhere, and thus reveling kirby, now with the clean kirby hat*
*kirby puts his hand up in the air, and a broom glows in and sets itself down on kirbys hand*
*kirby lowers his arm and then raises it quickly, holding the broom in a sword like manner*
//announcer: Clean Kirby!
*Kirby is revealed to be inside the halberd with meta knight*
//kirby: hyaaa!
*kirby starts to sweep like crazy, dust covers up screen*
*the screen clears up and shows metaknight handing kirby some money*
//meta knight: thanks.
//kirby: glad to help! (or) no problem!
*kirby shuffles through money*
