its easy...

make the only sound a background music...

put a black box over it, and make its alpha 15%

and make a movie clip with a vertical line moving horizontally on the screen..

and last buy not least. make *random lines* in order to give it that old theatre look

Response to: test my game =) Posted July 23rd, 2006 in Game Development

stop lying!!!!!!

thats not true... look at the post above yours... I made a movie using a small variation off of the code he gave us!

Response to: How do I... Posted July 19th, 2006 in Game Development

worked perfectly for me

take a look

I love how easy flash is

Response to: How do I... Posted July 19th, 2006 in Game Development

your original script should work....

the only problem is correct language. flash doesnt understand the word shit.

use poop. also you need to capitalize "mario" to signify its a name...

lol

isnt that what lord of ketchup wrote?

anyways... this is turning into a flaming war.

I don't want to have a fight with a 14 year old with a very small vocabulary (learn some more words then obnoxious) who is so protective over their failures that they instantly go into a defensive possition...

have a nice time with your few participants.... and create a massive flop... to tell everyone else, this WILL turn out badly. this WILL turn out unfair. this WILL be unsucceful. this WON'T be recognized in any way.

have a nice time... no post responding is neaded cause I wont read it.... actually if you respond its probably showing you immaturity.

:)

goodnight

At 7/18/06 11:28 AM, Coolio_Niato wrote: and lastly, sorry for the triple post, its pretty much at the time jorncar entered this collab that everything went downhill. the collab was actually coming along very well until he came in, criticized a few of the animations. criticized my leadership, and criticized how some about wat some people were asking about in this thread. basically this is how i see it. (and if i am wrong please point it out to me)

I hate to break this to you... but I joined when it started... What you are doing is justifying your position by pointing fingers and not taking responsibility. WIth my arrival I brought other animators like lord_of_ketchup who where going to add quite a bit of talent to the collaboration.
I rarely "criticized" any works, and If I did, it was usually useful. and any critisism of the collaboration was not posted but sent to you in a private message until you continually did not listen, in which I then posted in the forum. You did push away a lot of good animators with your closed rules, and strict process in which EVERYTHING had to be checked with you. Many animators I know like to keep what they are doing to themselves and want to do it completely alone. What you had proposed is that they would have to check there movies with you, then you would criticize to make it "good" for you. Which also means, the animators would have to animate to what YOU want, and not what THEY want. This is good for beggining animators who need more guidance while animating, but for more professional animators it is not. This is what I was telling you about pushing away the skilled animators, and attracted newer ones. (You didn't listen to me. )

Next time you want to place blame in order for you not to seem so bad, make sure it is truthful. A heep of lies doesn't make up for your lack of good leadership. Don't blame it on me your collaboration wasnt a hit.

thats all....

like i said

you would push away all the good animators.... (all of them are gone) and attract less skilled ones....(no offense everyone still participating)

good luck with this...

Response to: The Freeze Time Collab Posted July 15th, 2006 in Game Development

Really, Coolio, he didn't bomb it.
And I also think it's unfair that you would let someone in just because their BA is lower than 2.75 when you let people in who signed up that day and have no flash in the portal. I think you should only let people in if they have a BA because you're giving some of these people false hope.

i concur!

I just stated it had no plot.... seriously... thats all I said.

it has no plot at all

I dont know what you can get out of it.... except it has no plot?

its not bombing.... or being mean.. or anything like that... just the truth

goodish

maybe some limbs?

the hand aniamtions was good though

Response to: Flash Animating Help Posted July 13th, 2006 in Game Development

you could just break apart the image. cut the leg in half where you want the joint to be, then edit the limps so it looks more realistic.
