Is it because I am so conditioned to the 4/4 signiture that everything other than 3/4 and 4/4 sound off course?
Can anyone give me a good example. Perhaps a link or reference to a song that has an odd time signiture? I've attempted to make a song with 5 whole notes in each measure and my head just won't accept it.. I've tried counting the numbers out loud but the way in which I say them still conforms to the 4 beat system. How do I stop this nonsense!?
Well, I don't think there is a demo out there.
I own it for PSX. It was the first of it's kind...there wasn't a genre to descibe it...Back then it was called a strategy game..haha....I didn't know there was one for the computer. I loved it for the PSX.

You guys could use a program to merge your separate mp3 files. You could just set the tempo the same and I would think that it would work out quite well.
I found this program that would do it. =)

There's clipping everywhere. You didn't use a compressor. Somehow, I'm thinking that basically all of your synths are presets (even though they're very unimpressive and dull anyways). There's no EQ in sight, and everything seems to clash instead of merging smoothly together. I appologize for being harsh, but I'd be doing you no good by telling you that this is good. For somebody who's uploaded 50 tracks, I would expect better quality from you.
Perhaps what's holding you back is your hardware (you use poor quality speakers, don't you?). Perhaps it's all of the people giving you good reviews and encouraging this mediocrity. Perhaps it's the fect that you rush your work (you do a song per day, and it shows in how unfinished they sound). But more seriously, I'd recommend that you take a break from making your own music and try to recreate some professional tracks. Anything at all, as long as it's pro. After you've done 3 accurate recreations like that, I guarantee that your original work will be of much higher quality. But, 'till then, I just can't see why most of your work deserves anything more than a 3/10, mainly for the effort. Tracks like this are why I don't go to NG often.

Yes, It was insulting. But it was also quite constructive. He did go into reason why he thought it wasn't good. I mean, I'm just trying to shine the light on this a little bit. Your music can't appeal to everyone. You should take negative reviews with openness. He didn't say "YOUR MUSIC SUCSK ITS ABSOLUTE CRAP I HATE YOU ALOT RUIENED MY SPEAKERS!!" or anything close to that review directed towards monkeybulman (which was absolutly uncalled for)..that was just (like what you said Chris) lacked reason or just... I mean, he gave you his opinion on how to improve. You don't become better with absolute praise... The dude even appologized. :)
Indeed, pure praise is nice to hear and encouraging, but remarks on what to improve upon is very helpful and directs you to realize your weaknesses...am I wrong? Shit, that's how we all advance.
Anyways, it didn't seem too abusive to me is all. That's my 3 pennies.

I never really considered myself a great artists. I can't draw a specific thing. Only when I'm not trying to draw anything specific can I draw anything good.
I started doing drawings using only one line to fill the entire paper and connect it at the ends. It would make two sides. I would color each side a different color which would make it really nice. Since I never really intentionally drew anything it wasn't any specific thing...But you can kind of see resemblances of things here and there, like you do with coulds. These links are kind of a branch of that stuff.. It's not all one line but it's resembles the same style.
They are both from the same drawing.
I started it the beginning of the year and have come rather bored with it, it's not done; my time goes to music now.
Reason is compatable with Mac.

That is only one instrument. Usualy I wind up with a few mixers as well. Mixers have 14 audio inputs.... So, think of multiplying that pictures set up by 28...That's a ton of routing. Although some is done for you. And it is set up vertically like actual hardware which is why it's nice to have a huge moniter display. A 1024 x 10,000 would work great. You would be able to see everything at once. ;) I'm joking, scrolling never hurt anybody.
In fruity Loops, you don't really have to do any of this type of stuff. Just about all which is similar to routing (what I've done at least) is Channeling the sounds to the FX.
Logic Pro 7 is a full fledged studio type mah-bobber. Don't know too much about that program. All I know is it's more advanced than anything I've used. I would love to hear someones input from anyone who uses that.

The most powerful program I believe to be on the market right now is Apple's Logic Pro 7. It's way up there.
For everyone that is just learning to make music on the computer I would suggest getting familiar with Fruity Loops first. Then onto Reason. And maybe, in 20 or so years, get into the real ass deal with Logic Pro 7.
Reason is a pretty nice program. It's true, it does have a slight learning curve. But there are plenty of places to go for help. You aren't left in the dust. I have a long way to go before I master that program.
To give you an idea of the whole "plug everything in"...I took a little screenshot of the back of a combination I made. This is where alot of your time goes. ;)
Everything seems to be calming down and straitening out.
