I think I've finally figured out the match ups. You all probably don't care but if you look over to the bracket next to yous one of the two people will be your next opponent If you go on. I don't know If I'm right but you might wanna check it out.

Dave I used to have the Wacom intuos 4 medium!! It broke and I've downgraded to the Bamboo Pen. But I'm hoping to get the Cintiq for christmas. Becuase I plan to make a year long project for the christmas animation contest.

But masks can filter fuck the animation causing lags..

OR you can take up Frame By Frame. What is the point of animation if your just making the characters move like normal people. Make the body squish and squash. the arms like elastic!

Define Shaky. If you mean your drawings are rough than keep practicing. Tablets aren't paper you know.

How are the Motion Tweens doing?

I have seen some pretty intense Special Effects done in Adobe After Effects.
As well as people talking about how they've done stuff in it, but I have no clue how to use it.
I am an animator who is looking for ways to advance to the next skill set at the moment my frame by frame is the only strong suit I have for skills. So I was wondering does anyone have any examples, GOOD tutorials or anything that can help me use this amazing program. I have Adobe Cs3 Master Suite so I have the program but it's just sitting there with no one to use it.
So what do you say? Any Help?

For fbf. It doesnt have all the extra things that get people off track and Flash cs3 is exactly the same as flash 8 so stick with it unless u suck at fbf then do bone tool on flash cs5.5

Okay so I am getting sick of stupid questions surfacing in the animation forum.
What FPS to animate at? What stage size?
It would be so easy for people to just search google or do a forum search!
Now I made this thread for Newbies to post questions instead of spamming the forum.
Here are a few things I will tell you in case you don't know.

Frames per Second:
I use 24 FPS, But that is only to be used at an intermediate level.
Beginner's should use 18 or 20 FPS.

How to make a Flash:

Make your script- The story
Character Sketches- Create all of the characters it can be a basic sketch as long as it keeps the idea fresh in your mind.
Storyboard- Make a rough plan of how you want the animation to go.
Animate the rough- This is basically the last storyboard or animatic. It is pretty much creating better movements for the animation
Final Animation- Clean the rough make the final animation
Polish- Ink the animation add effects

How to fight animators block-
Get some inspiration
Watch some high quality animations!
Watch some movies. Animators Block is usually brought on when you don't have fun or your not pushing yourself OR pushing to hard. Whichever the case you need to ease into your comfort zone. When you get to the point where you have a warm fuzzy feeling inside when you animate that is when you know your out of the animators block. Also not following the animation sequence above brings this on as well. Staring at the flash layout doesn't help much trust me you won't think of anything. AND PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!

Wanna be a flash animator download flash. You can always get it for free if you know what I mean but I'm not going into detail as I actually bought my flash. Download a trial of the latest flash if you want to try it. or Download a trial of Flash 8 Professional.

No no if your using flash there's a secret
go to the action-script. it only works for action-script 4. Type in your script and then type Create Flash animation(); and then the animation will begin to animate itself. Patience is the key as this takes a very long time about 24 hours.
