I'll be the first to admit I don't use my Newgrounds account very much these days, but it still bugs me that some stupid shit I made back in 2010 is seemingly stuck to my page forever. Is there anyway to delete my 'pumpkins'?

Okay, I might do that. The one obvious problem though, is having the text stay onscreen long enough for someone to read. Is there a rule of how long it takes the average person to read a certain number of words?? I can't find anything like that.

Hello all. I haven't been here in a while. Anyways, I'm making a serious war short for my Grade 10 IT class, and I need some suggestions. I can't do voice acting of adult soldiers and have it sound good, so I'm not going to include voices, but then how can I display the dialogue. Speech bubbles? Captions? I was thinking of doing little dialogue boxes where you click next when you finish reading but that would break synchronization of songs, which for my final scene is necessary. Any ideas guys?

Hey guys. Problem here is I want to place a code on a movieclip that essentially says "when this hitest something else goTo this frame+2". No, I don't want it to go to a predetermined frame, or to the nextframe, I want it to, regardless of what frame it's on go to two frames ahead of it. I've been trying a few different methods that don't work. If someone could help I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Doing a school project. Zombie flash game. Need ideas for an awesome 1 handed zombie killing melee weapon. Katana is 2h so that won't work. Also for 1h I already have a Kabar, a Bowie, a Folding Utility Knife and a Machete. Suggestions Newgrounds?

I get what you're trying to do with the code, logically it should work, but it's not. Any way to fix it or anyone got an alternative.

I've got a problem with using the space key. I have it so pressing space brings you to the next frame of dialogue, but if you do anything but really lightly tap the key it registers the space bar many times and zooms through at least three frames of tutorial dialogue text. Any way I could fix this?

Thanks for the ideas guys! I never thought of using a darker shade of the same color; seems obvious now but it just didn't click before. And I too realized the stiffness of my drawings. In fact during school today I started planning out a picture I hope to complete over the long weekend, more of an angle on the guy, and I'll hopefully incorporate everything you guys said, except for making it look like Clint Eastwood, lol, I don't plan on drawing him again, ahahah.

Hmm, I was actually quite pleased with how it looks. Anything look specifically off? I think the biggest problem is just the overall facial structure not, the individual features. But yeah, any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks! But I actually used an opaque black soft brush to make the shadows, but yeah, it basically had similar effects. I stay away from burn because it turns stuff red/brown-ish, ugh. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions! I always preferred more subtle colors, but come to think of it, more saturation might suite this picture nicely. Thanks again!

I don't understand why my Flash's icon won't change. I tried to back in November or something and forgot about it until now. I tried changing again and the logo I tried to change it to was still there, saying "it would be applied in the next layout update." Mind helping me out? I hate my original icon.

Hahahaha, It IS snow. LOL! I had the Dragon Age "Sacred Ashes Trailer" in mind when I drew this, which happens to take place in the snowy mountains.

For lack of a better place to post this; I would like to quickly ask a question about the art forum and some rules.

I have read over the rules but Newgrounds seems so specific over the types of threads you can (and can't) make, and I wouldn't mind some advice here.

I wanna get my new piece of art out there, and reviewed. I don't expect to be showered in compliments, though I do appreciate a "good job" just as much as the next guy, I'm new to this kind of thing and I'd like as much help as I could possibly get.

SO, I decided to make a flash music video to the good bad and ugly theme for IT class at school and it isn't playing at the full FPS that it should be (20 instead of 22) which makes the music go out of sync to the transitions and leaves it looking like a pile of laggy shit. How does everyone else make it stay in sync no matter what your FPS is at? I heard STREAM just that by skipping frames in the event that it loses sync, but in the process it sacrifices the ability to play over scenes, (Which my movie does...) and loses a LOT of audio quality. (Which sucks Balls.) So, I'm stuck and it's due in a few days. Any and ALL support is greatly appreciated. - By the Way - I'm using EVENT if that wasn't clear. Oh, and it's an MP3.

Yeah, not much to explain here but I probably hit a button or something that I shouldn't have. Anyone know why my hotkeys aren't working. I'm using a tablet (Intuos 4) but that hasn't ever been a problem before. :/

I thought about putting this in the Flash Section, but it's not exactly about Flash as much as Newgrounds itself. Anyways, yeah the icon won't change for my flash, even though I've tried 100 times. Anyone else got this problem?

Work on visuals a lot more. Possibly make them come over time instead of in big waves all at once.
