Ok, I'm one of the few who has Vista (but probably the only one who has Vista Home Basic). It (naturally) came installed on my "new" computer.
First time setting up was not so bad. The only downside was Vista wasting 20 minutes of my life setting the computer up for first use. But I can excuse that (since I don't have to go through that process again).
When I turned it up a second time, Vista automatically started downloading and installing Windows Updates. That wasted literally 5 hours (including restarting the computer and checking for new updates).
Next day, I installed some more programs that I needed, only to find out that they are not compatible with Vista. That's when I really started to get mad.
So, I made a compromise and decided to not install those incompatible programs, and continue on with my life. I started up a program that I installed, and got the "Are you sure you want to run this program message"? That's when I started to hate Vista (mind you, I'm a complete computer n00b - meaning I still haven't found out how to disable that message).
etc. etc.
All in all, Vista is only good on the newest computers available on the market. I want my XP back.
