It's alright I guess, but the perspective is completely off. Notice how the original has somewhat of a set perspective point, while yours does'nt. Hope the picture below explains it. You did a pretty good job on the tank guy though.

To answer the question about brushes: In Painter, I mostly use the regular detailed airbrush and blending-tools, but also Paletteknives, sponges and chalk. I PS, I use all kinds of shit just to get interesting textures basically. I downloaded a great set from conceptart, you should definitely check it out: click
