Is the stick supposed to shoot off along with the rocket? In otherwords, should it be free to move or secured?

What's the best way to shoot these off? Not bottle rockets, larger 4 & 6 ounce ones. I just came across a few dozen but don't know how I should have these set up before i light them.

Thanks.

Why is this topic back? its over a year and 4 months old... Idiots.

If an idea that is this old is still getting good feedback, then it is likely one that should be considered by Tom. People would still buy these if they were made.

I disagree. Users still show an interest in purchasing these if they were made. Although Livestrongs have lost popularity, other wristbands are still worn, and I believe that NG wristbands would be a popular item if they were featured for sale.

I spoke to Tom live on Radiogrounds and he said that he really liked the idea. This was back in July of last year, but hopefully along with some of the changes to Newgrounds, wirstbands might make it onto Tom's to-do list.

Cafepress doesn't make wristbands, last I checked.

Dozens of other sites do for extremely low prices. They would likely be made and sold the same way stickers currently are.

I'm glad this topic was brought back from the dead, because although the popularity of the wristbands have decreased, I still think that there is a huge market for them. Most users who have heard the idea have had positive feedback.

Hopefull one day an admin will see it the same way....

If anyone is kinda bored, you could help me out alot by doing this.

Rewrite the lyrics to "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel to correspond to events that took place from 1990 to present day. Here are the lyrics:

"We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel

Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray

Eisenhower, vaccine, England's got a new queen
Marciano, Liberace, Santayana goodbye

CHORUS
We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it

Josef Stalin, Malenkov, Nasser and Prokofiev
Rockefeller, Campanella, Communist Bloc

Roy Cohn, Juan Peron, Toscanini, dacron
Dien Bien Phu and "Rock Around the Clock"

Einstein, James Dean, Brooklyn's got a winning team
Davy Crockett, "Peter Pan", Elvis Presley, Disneyland

Bardot, Budapest, Alabama, Khrushchev
Princess Grace, "Peyton Place", trouble in the Suez

CHORUS

Little Rock, Pasternak, Mickey Mantle, Kerouac
Sputnik, Chou En-Lai, "Bridge on the River Kwai"

Lebanon, Charles de Gaulle, California baseball
Starkweather, homicide, children of thalidomide

Buddy Holly, "Ben-Hur", space monkey, Mafia
hula hoops, Castro, Edsel is a no go

U2, Syngman Rhee, payola and Kennedy
Chubby Checker, "Psycho", Belgians in the Congo

CHORUS

Hemingway, Eichmann, "Stranger in a Strange Land"
Dylan, Berlin, Bay of Pigs Invasion

"Lawrence of Arabia", British Beatlemania
Ole Miss, John Glenn, Liston beats Patterson

Pope Paul, Malcolm X, British politician sex
JFK, blown away, what else do I have to say

CHORUS

Birth control, Ho Chi Minh, Richard Nixon, back again
Moonshot, Woodstock, Watergate, punk rock
Begin, Reagan, Palestine, terror on the airline
Ayatollolah's in Iran, Russians in Afghanistan

"Wheel of Fortune" , Sally Ride, heavy metal, suicide
Foreign debts, homeless vets, AIDS, Crack, Bernie Goetz
Hypodermics on the shores, China's under martial law
Rock and Roller Cola Wars, I can't take it anymore

CHORUS

We didn't start the fire
But when we are gone
Will it still burn on, and on, and on, and on...

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The tank could be possible but having your personal user name would not be. They would have to be too many seperate molds and orders, and it would just be a mess.

Production costs may be 5 cents, but you'd need to ship them from China,

Many companies make them cheaply in the US. Not for five cents, but still low enough that they could sell them for a higher but reasonable price.

then ship them to everyone that orders one.

they do it with stickers. wristbands can be shipped with a postage stamp or two.

I believ this would only be possible if the admin crew hired someone to do the shipments and orders and such.

I think they'll find someone. I'd do it for free.

Then costs would still be pretty high. They'd cost like 5 dollars, easily.

It should be more like 2 or 3 dollars.

How do you think that people buy stickers? It's called the postal system. It's amazing! You can actually mail the money to Newgrounds!

I realize that this thread was dead for awhile. I'll try to keep new ideas to be considered coming, but most of what I have to say has been said. Tom and Shok loved the idea when I pitched it to them, so I think that there is a great chance we will see these in the future.

If you like what you see here, support it. If you don't, tell us why.
