Yes, but that's why I'm not publishing it in to a print comic, surely the thousands of webcomics (in addition to the cartoons on this site) out there wouldn't exist if there was a serious crackdown on fan comics.

For me it's more about demonstrating my writing. I want a career in it, and I think it's important both to come up with original stuff (which I do) but to also interpret other works. Honestly, we were playing through the first one a week ago, and the story started writing itself in my head, the more I think about it the more I want to do it.

If they say stop I'll stop. I can think of more ideas.

Hi, I'm looking for an illustrator for a web comic based off of Streets of Rage. This is a long term commitment.

The plot will be based around the events of the first game, and depending on feedback may continue to the second and third. I'm looking for an illustrator to help me achieve a very specific look. I want to retain the art style of the game to an extent, the color scheme and tone are essential, but as an illustrator I want you to feel free to add your own style to it.

I will discuss the details in private, but if you're interested, I'll show you my website so you can see what kind of writing I do. and In return send me a message with links to your artwork.

I work with other illustrators, and I do pay if you want payment for your work, if you wish to be paid please specify your price for a full color 8 by 10 comic page would be.

However, and this is important, I'm looking for an art style that does not uses digital mediums, everything has to be drawn and colored by hand, with the exception of speech bubbles. Please keep that in mind when sorting out your price as the extra work may require a higher value. I know that might sound weird but I have my reasons.
