iv'e been playing guitar for a while now, but i want to learn bass as well. what would be a good starter electric bass for me? i've heard good stuff about fender and ESP. i can spend about $500

8 months, but i play all the time so i'm better than most people i know that have been playing for about that long.

i'm looking to buy a new guitar, and i've narrowed it down to three choices, they are
the Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400
the Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Custom(Silverburst)
and the G-1275 Custom (Double Neck)
which of these do you think is the best buy? my Les Paul is good but i've had it for four and a half years and when i got it i didn't treat it very nicely so it isnt in the best condition. now that i am older and actually care for my stuff i would like a new guitar, but i'm unsure of what to get. your opinions would be greatly appreciated

most of the stuff I've checked out are Les Paul's and SG's. the price range is huge on them so Im probably gonna have to go out and play them quite a bit before i can decide.

about amps; i have a line 6 spider 3. it seems like a good amp, but i don't know much about them. any thoughts on it?

The thing with Fenders is, you are paying for the name. The guitars themselves are ok, but I've had Strat copies that sounded better than actual Strats and cost a fraction of the price.

I personally like Ibanezes, as they look good and have a great sound... But it all depends on what style of music you want to play...

i play mostly classic rock (60's-80's). Stuff like Led Zeppelin, Rush, GNR, AC/DC, etc

i only ask the people i know who play guitar. but the only type of guitar they know is their own, usually.

I'm thinking about getting a new guitar, but I'm not sure what kind to get. I've thought about a twelve string (acoustic, or electric), or a Stratocaster. Right now i have an Epiphone Les Paul, Ibanez AS73L, and a cheap Washburn acoustic.
Are there any suggestions on what should be my next purchase?

several people have told me not to get a Strat because they suck, or are crap. can anyone give me more detail as to why this is?

My old mic either crapped out or is incompatable with my new computer, I'm not sure which. Anyway, I have about $100 I can spend on a new one, my question is what are some of the best mics I can get for around that price? Once I can get it, I can start working as a voice actor, and whatnot. I'll post pics of my mic.
