Bye Baby Bye

Fresh pop-rock track off the mix. 2nd song that'll be in an in-the-making album.

Reviews, rants, and raves very much welcome.

Oh... if you search Youtube, there are two videos. One is this review (which isn't much of a review, anyway - just played the song, said a few words, and that's about it).

The other is a video opening for a gay advocate show.

Oh this one. Apparently, the lyrics urged persistence in love. Since the song was on NG, it's "open source", meaning anyone can use it free of royalties (as long as it is non-profit). Well... at least the song is going around.

On another note, I think I have a downvoter for this song (Diamonds). Can't trace him, though. May I ask for your support? I was hoping it would hit the weekly top 5 this coming Wednesday. Cast your 5 votes daily until then if you want this song to appear on the top 5. Thanks! ^_^

Hey guys, long time no... read?

Anyway, I've uploaded a track. Still at 80%, and in need of critics.

Diamonds

The song is a rock ballad, where the first person is trying to tell a woman that she is not for a man that had just proposed marriage.

Hope you enjoy the song! All comments (rants and raves) are highly appreciated. ^_^

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! (Long live the Philippines!)

IDK! I barely have flash time, Red-Jack's still practicing, and Youngblood has too many nuisances from making one!

...and I haven't still recorded the soundtrack that we've talked about ages ago. Hehe... just diggin' up my own grave, hehe.

Dunno yet. Still have to record vocals. It's the most tedious part, actually. Best guess is June or July.

Dammit... I need to tweak my voice... can't I just tune it with a screwdriver or something?!?
Need breath mint?

If it's a miracle voice-o-matic, sure!

Thanks! Just wanted to check out this club. It's the perv era, I guess, hehe.

Looks like May won't be my month. Maybe June or July. Damn! I'm almost 27... T_T
Well, advance Happy Birthday! Another party again in June. Anyway, 27? That's the common age for marriage, isn't it? Anyway, do you have plans now for that or are you ready for it?

Hehe, if you're rich by then, then yeah. Plans have been pushed back. We've been having fun with our careers, and getting hitched might kinda ruin it. In short, we're taking our time. ^_^

If you feel more comfortable singing higher, from the G string up to high notes in the high E string, you're a tenor.

Hmm... so I'm somewhere between baritone and tenor...? Cool! ^_^

I'll try measuring my voice when I get back from vacation.

Let's see... I can do "Drive" by Incubus and "Semi-Charmed Life" of 3eb, but straining at Goo Goo Dolls's "Iris".

Well, if you have a deep pocket, go for a condenser mic. I'd go for either Shure or Sennheiser (the latter being my preference).

If you're on a budget, any cheap mic will do, but procure a pop filter. It's a foamy thingamajig that you put over the microphone's receiver. There are vocal microphones that are like, what, ten bucks.

Oh, one exception... if you don't want hisses, don't get those computer stand-up mics. They're designed to pick up any noise it can get. I think they're called arial mics or something.

Guys, I had a little side project before the album:

Don't Know Tomorrow

The instrumentation was done by Sialys. Pretty jam, actually. While reviewing, I started to spontaneously write lyrics for it. It had a slow, bluesy feel that just ripped my heart out onto a notepad.

It only took me a day after the review to record and mix it down. Hope you guys like it. ^_^

A little side-project while the album is still in the works:

Don't Know Tomorrow

Sialys brought the jam, and I happened to review it. While reviewing, I started to spontaneously write lyrics for it. It had a slow, bluesy feel that just ripped my heart out onto a notepad.

One day later, it's an NGAP entry -- first collab I've ever done around here. Hope you enjoy the song! Reviews, rants, and raves are very, very welcome! ^_^

Ok, here's a suspect.

Dare to Dream - Sialys

First off, it sounds like a pro job. There's a handful of talent in NG, but something set me off in his audio ad:

At 3/26/08 07:54 AM, Sialys wrote: Dare to Dream it's an instrumental rock song. All the guitars are done by me. Good friend on drums. No bass.

Give it a listen and please review.

Sialys said "No bass". I'm sure I heard a bass line, and I probably heard a keyboard.

Any instrumental rock audiophile?

I wonder if this is a nice thread to start at all.

Anyway, the objective of this thread is to openly share a track to others which you have suspicions of being stolen. It is a consultation thread TO CONFIRM an audio theft before rattling our audio mods.

Now, to register a suspected track, please, PLEASE submit the following:

1. Link to the suspected audio.
2. A short paragraph (1-5 sentences long) as to why you suspect the track.

If you, on the other hand, would like to confirm the stolen track, please perform the following:

1. Reply to the thread with the suspected track.
2. If a Youtube link is available with the audio in it, add the link in the reply message.
3. Provide the title of the original song and original artist.

I hope this would help clean the portal of stolen audio, and reduce the load of the audio mods. ^_^

Cheers and happy hunting!
