Yes. This is the problem. But I plan on doing something...I don't know quite yet, though. Maybe I'll just end up being another 'politician'. But at least it'll be the acheivement of my dreams.
Politics is a harsh thing, a profession many people don't enter by choice. That's why I want to take politics head on and try my damndest to change things for the better. A foolish dream in a world where money conrols all, but it's possible.
you make it sound like guns are made for crime. they're not. i don't know what gave you that idea. guns are made for hunting, self-defense, ect. crime is a misuse of a gun like spraying an aerosol can in someone's eyes.
See? This is the view I've had on gun control. I don't see why people don't see it like that. Less guns doesn't necessarily mean less crime...it means a bigger black market for the guns and people with black market links aren't the most savory people on the planet.

We can simply use Bush as a figurehead, or simply update the picture to reflect whatever Republican official we dislike the policies of at the moment. The club can go on forever! However, we need more than 3 members to make it last.

You know, I've noticed that when confronted with something bad, the Republicans often point the finger at the Clinton administration. However, when something good comes along that was a product of a 5 or 10 year Clinton Administration plan, they are the first to jump on the credit...then make changes to benefit the people who put Bush Junior in office.

Don't worry, you don't sound like that. Most of the level-headed Democrats like myself have already accepted the fact that the war-drums will get Bush another term. I don't know, though, because I do support people from different parties based on their beliefs. John Kerrey and John McCain are both very good in my eyes.

Yes, absolutely nothing wrong at all with a man who sleeps in the same bed with children yet sees nothing wrong with it. Someone who dangles his kids over ledges. SOmeoen who makes his children wear masks like that. Right. He's living in a fantasy land where he never grew up. That defines mental illness. The man should have his children taken away and be sent somewhere so that they can look at him through a small hole in the wall for the rest of his life. Also, someone take the scalpel away. Since it's pretty strongly decided who the Republicans will have running in 2004 (if you don't get it by now, please close the topic and turn off your computer), I want to see everyone's opinions on the various candidates the Democrats are reviewing. Do you all see this? This is obsession with war! This is not healthy! Seems like our worldwide rallies failed to get through their skulls.
To say that Clinton is doing a pretty good job with the economy and Bush is not doing so well is the understatement of the century. Clinton had an unparalelled term of prosperity while Bush has put it into reverse and sunk us into a recession. And 9/11 did hurt, but the Republican's ineptitude hurts much worse.
What I had intended to say, but I didn't want to run the risk of being flamed to no end for saying things to the extreme like that. Unparalleled indeed.
