Of course...finding a portable record player is the hard part

That's not a Beatles album, it is the Soundtrack to the Yelow Submarine movie, it came out in 1999, 39 years after their break up. Try listening to Abbey Road, Revolver, or the White Album. Those are my favorites from them.

The only reason that show is retarded is what they are actually tryring to teach to children. Okay, fhere's how an episode I saw went.

1 - Something very obvious happens, like the retarded monkey is mad because he's short
2 - Ki Lan is like "Is the retarded monkey mad? Why is he mad? And other obvious questions that only a 2 year old, no a retarded 2 year old would find difficult
3 - At this point I figure this show is for slow 2 year olds, as they anyone over 3 and a decent IQ would understand immediately what's going on.
4 - They come out randomly with fucking chinese words and characters that they expect, what they think is the most retarded audience in the world, to learn instantly. They want poor retarded 2 year olds, that can't grasp the concept of why a retarded monkey is angry without someone explaining to them, to learn one of the hardest languages in the world?

That is why this show is a crap failure!

I know that you're kidding right? Because whenever someone actually knows who George Harrison is, they should at least know that he was also the Lead Guitarist of the Beatles...naw, you must've been kidding.

And John would agree with you, he wasn't too fond of the Beatles after he left them...even most of his own work with them. In fact, he would be confused why you are talking about them in a thread about his death.

I on the other hand love the beatles and most of John's solo work. I can't belive that it's the 8th of December already, next time it'll be 30 years!

Pink Floyd dominates at this.

Agreed, but don't forget about Signs of Life and Cluster One From "Momentry Lapse of Reason" and "The Division Bell"

I think that Pink Floyd began and ended every one of their albums in quite an epic way!

Here's another from me.

Intro/Electric Uncle Sam-Antipop/Primus- The creeping intro and Tom Waits signiling the start of the album by saying "One, Two, Three" followed by probably Primus' heaviest album of all time...fantastic.

Epic Intro

That was pretty cool, the soft music followed by the heavier stuff reminded me of the intro to "Ride the Lightning" from Metallica, although that was more renaissance fair-ish...

At 12/5/09 04:07 AM, Ass-Crumb wrote: Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Musical concrete for a few seconds, then bam, guitar riffs signaling the start of quite possibly the greatest album in the world.

No argument here, Sgt. Peppers is already one of the best albums by my favorite band of all time, and the intro is no different. Sgt. Peppers is fantastic, lthough I think that I like Abbey Road and the White Album a little more.

What is your most favorite opening to any album? You know how some albums just have such a sick opening that sets the mood for the rest of the record, yeah that kind.

Here's some of mine

Mother-Plastic Ono Band/John Lennon - The ominous church bells and the peaceful cry for help that progresses to agressive sadness and anger...amazing

To Defy the Laws of Tradition-Frizzle Fry/Primus- The intro begins like the live album "Suck On This" did before it, with the drum intro to Rush's YYZ, which then morph's into a whole new excellence.

Speak To Me/Breath-Dark Side of the Moon/Pink Floyd- Damn, this one is just amazing. From the infamous heartbeat, to the histerical laughter, to the foreshadowing cashier noises for the song "money". Groundbreaking intro.

There's a few from me for now, how about you Newgrounds?

"How I Won the War" definately. It blows other war movies like Full Metal Jacket and Saving Private Ryan out of the water for one simple reason, John Lennon. That's right folks, John "freakin'" Lennon in a war movie!

Sure it's more of a comedy. but it's still pretty violent. John's character "Gripweed" dies near the end, dramatic death speech and all, he even breaks the fourth wall several times throughout the movie. Wait...I probably shouldn't of spoiled that, though he does mention to the viewer that he will be dieing at the beginning of the movie so, no harm done I guess...

Go and see it now, or if you're lazy, Here's some scenes with John in it.
