Really though; no reason to get so worked up about something like earbuds. If you get some high quality buds (I think I got mine for like 100$ or so) you really get amazing sound

Also, i'm talking Norwegian prices, so you know.. inflation and all that.

Whether democrats acted similarly during the Bush years or not is besides the point. Democrat or Republican, as a congressman or senator, citizen or not, you should never interrupt the president in such disrespect and shout at him calling him a liar.

Wilson was out of line.

Yeah but this thread doesn't question the state of inner city crime and infrastructure. It's a question of carrying weapons at Obama rallies and utter irresponsibilty of it.

So I answer again: I don't think there is anything wrong with gun ownership in and of itself.
So I ask again: What is the purpose of bringing the loaded guns to the rallies?

It serves no other purpose than to provoke.

Also, on a side note: You're arguement that inner cities with gun bans have higher crime and murder rates is irrelevant because it's not within context. Inner cities have a denser population, poverty is more widespread and a different 'culture' all together. The socio-economic conditions are different.

Big city mentality at its finest.

How are those gun bans doing, btw?

I live in town with 40,000 people. Always have. Gun ownership in itself is fine, but there is no reason for anyone to have to carry them around in public. If that is needed, there is a serious issue of public security. Or a serious issue of paranoia.

Give me a fucking break. If anybody thinks people go to presidential rallies to protest and carry loaded guns because it's "normal" is either avoiding the reality of it or really really naive. They're doing it to provoke. Even if it is the norm, who in their right mind think bringing a gun to a presidential rally, when the president known for being the biggest target for assassination in modern history. That's why he's got a fucking limo-tank.

Fair enough if carrying weapons is normal in that area, but it is utterly irresponsible to endanger the president by bringi g loaded weapons to a rally and utterly irresponsible to defend them, as if this is a good idea.

That doesn't really apply because the nukes arn't being maintained so we can use them on terrorists some day. The U.S will never ever ever ever ever ever use nukes on a terrorist organization. It's just too unlikely. And even if you came up with a scenario where they might, it would irrelevant because it's a farfetched hypothethical situation.

With that said, the U.S needs to update its warfare (as it is doing right now, actually.. ) To fight unconventional enemies

There is no sound arguement for maintaining all of those nukes. That amount serves no purpose.

Posted: 06/18/09 06:37 PM

Forum: Politics

This is a fucking joke.

There are several flaws in the American educational system, just as any other educational system anywhere; but the idea of "brainwashing" is hardly the main concern. I can't help but assume you're suggesting some reform that would allow kids to choose the contents of their education. They're the students though, and hardly hold any legitimate reason or authority to dictate what should or should not be in the curriculum.
Not above the teachers in any case.

As far as University, College and perhaps the latter years of high school, that's something else. But nonetheless, you can't expect an entire year of high school students to grasp that responsiblity.

There has been talks between the two countries all along with 6 party talks and the sunshine policy and whatnot. They both without a doubt want to become one Korea, but DRP refuses to become a "puppet state for the U.S" like the Republic, and the Republic don't feel like becoming batshit crazy.

Truthfully, there will not be any reunification untill DPR Korea collapses upon itself.
