The truth is that was my whole idea, but it was alot more polished. Like I had a backbone that was discussed with other artists on the audio portal.

Well I have an idea for a DAW, but I know that this idea isn't gonna make it fly completely, so I would like to know what YOU would like to see in a DAW. Post up your heart's desire in a DAW, and you'll get a cookie (or pie if I'm out of cookies).

I know where to get loops, but not instruments. If you need loops I'll try to find something.

Whoa what the hell, 3 weeks before release? You're joking right?

Actually, I think he ain't joking, to get an entire symphony to record a single section of a movie costs hundreds even thousands of dollars. So to have them come is just a one time thing, everything is recorded once and that's final. If one person messes up, they will be fired. So in the stupidity and genius of Hollywood, they decide to send out the finished product to the composer for his choir can go to a studio and record upon that. From there it gets sent back to production which allows the editing guys to have the single takes of each song and put it in the movie. Then the last week until the film is just relaxing. I know this because my teacher is a sound engineer and he deals with this stuff.

I agree with Ingenious that Studio One will probably will have a long shelf life since it's from Presonus, and they will probably improve the features to be better suited for musicians and producers alike.

And we had to hike 15 kilometres, barefoot in the snow to the closest music store. And we LOVED it!!! None of this fangdangled "internet download", "e-transfer", "crossgrade" mumbo jumbo.

They had that back then? Wow, that must be awesome, cuz I still can't figure out what my FL Studio can do. Seriously, what I've been missing out on. I do have a question though, was that a gold mine in your day?

Yeah I was sold on that line to lol. But in all seriousness, I didn't know that it doesn't allow third party plugins... that sucks. Well its only version 1.0, so they'll probably fix that feature sooner or later.

So presonus just released a new DAW called Studio One, and I was wondering if people are gonna get it, have it, or are gonna pass. I think it looks pretty clean and workable, but since I'm new to this audio production thing I have to know what you people think.
Here's the site: http://www.presonus.com/products/Softwar eDetail.aspx?SoftwareId=11

I swear my computer hates me and it doesn't want to be my friend. I bought an Acer Home computer about a year ago, but it always came with a bug in the screen driver. Problems started to build up, but I didn't care because I could make music. Recently my computer started seeing what made me happy and what pissed me off... it chose to do the things that pissed me off. I realized this so I wiped my hard drive (bad move) after backing up my computer, for I can install XP Professional instead of stupid Vista. Soon after wiping it I tried installing XP... nothing happened. I tried again... the blue error screen came up... I screamed at my computer and threatened it, but it laughed at me with electronic sounds. I then had no choice, but to install Linux Mint. I now have no FL Studio 8 and even worse... no FL Studio 9 *sob* which I installed yesterday. I now am typing this from the alternative side of operating systems. I hate my computer *Linux crashes*... motha-

Hey everyone, G-Ray here and I was just listening to KRS-One and Buckshot's "Robot" and Jay-Z's D.O.A. (Death of Autotune), and I noticed how true these things are and wanted to make a collab with some people on this site. If this collab is to take to take place, we will need a very talented producer, talented sampling artist, and a few talented rappers. Also if this collab is to take place, there will have to be a clean version and an explicit version (One for radio play, I know people that's why, and the other is to show off how many times you can cuss... yea I have no other ideas for explicit). So hit me up on aim (if I'm on) or pm me for more details, and don't forget to pass this around.

Tomorrow I'm going to have the first meeting to present what we are going to do with the event. I have one song to present so far. Please contribute, I was thinking of giving out cds of the songs that were showcased at the event, so this is a good opportunity to get your music known by the general public. As I said earlier, if your religious views make you feel uncomfortable about this opportunity, feel free not to join.

Popular religion will NEVER get rid of counter culture. Every time it devours one culture, another pops up. Don't you see how useless it is?

Go away. Take your sanitary graffiti, your new old school, and your imperial ideals, and leave.
OK, I'm an atheist and all, but you're reacting as if he was trying to push religion down your throat, which he wasn't. He was just asking for music. So chill, man...

Thank you Jeepis that was all I was asking, and Moose, what I meant by Underground was Newgrounds' Audio Artists because nobody knows about them. I wanted this to be a chance for you artists to get a chance to put your music in public in an endorsed event. I also said if your religious views bother you when doing this, feel free not to join, I understand. I am just here asking for music, I never said repent because thou are not holy, I just want music for the event, and I know people here have an amazing talent for it.

I forgot to mention, this is being endorsed by The Church on the Way"s Living Art Team, which consists of Grafitti artists, and artists in general. If this opportunity to get your music out to the public offends your religious views, feel free to not join. If you want to just see people actually have a good time, and enjoy awesome music from the true definition of underground artists, then feel free to join. If you feel still feel iffy of our motives, please feel free to ask me. We plan to have this event as successful as our graffiti battles (which normally reach about 100 people). Please consider joining this, this is a good opportunity for all.
