The War and Desensitization Posted April 5th, 2003 in Politics

The War has been going on for three weeks now, and yet I still haven't seen any battles being fought- I've heard of them, but have they ever videotaped them? Have they showed the victims of this war(on both sides of the fence)

No. You hear of war and you hear of people dying and battles being fought, and you see pictures of soldiers that lost their lives, see families of those soldiers in a small town you've never heard of, you hear about huge battles being fought and the Iraqi's holding the Americans back as long as they could, but do you see anything of the war?

All I've seen is Tanks moving, Bombs exploding in Baghdad, and POW's. It almost seems like the loss of human live never occurred, doesn't it? I almost seems like War is something that is that needs to be done, but not to be witnessed. Where are the poor citizens who lost their lives? http://www.iraqbodycount.net/ reported over 200 Iraqi civilians have lost their lives in the past 24 hours (currently stands at 859 min, last night it was 601 min) Where are all these soldiers we keep hearing about that are attacking America?

but no. we see tanks move, rockets being fired at unknown targets, and Iraqi's happily accept food from coalition troops.

i find people like you will to end human life distrubing......

Bin Laden is a monster, but i feel that killing him would be giving him peace. I would make him suffer a single day for each person that died from his planning(including the 98' bombing of the embassies, but not including the soviets)

Response to: War good or bad? Posted April 4th, 2003 in Politics

if you believe killing puppies is wrong, will you go out and kill puppies to further your proof?

people who do not believe in the war don't go out and risk their lives- they risk their reputation and social status to help SAVE LIVES

If sacrificing a few lives to save mllions more then I know all of us would mae th same decision.

would it be the same if it was Americans dying for global stablity?

Response to: Support the Troops Posted April 4th, 2003 in Politics

they didn't choose the war(half the American people didn't)

Response to: War good or bad? Posted April 4th, 2003 in Politics

uhhhh....no the war doesn't have a decent reason

1.They could go after diplomatic solutions to get Saddam out, but instead they rushed it
2.Saddam has been in power for over 30 years, and for over 25 years of that he received support from the US- why now?
3. Who are we to judge the citizens and determine that they are will to die for this war? over 600 civilians have had the privlage to die in this war, regardless of how they feel about Saddam.
4. Is that what Bush is talking about now? funny....at the beginning it was WMD...then he couldn't prove that, so he moved right along to terrorism.....had no evidence of that either, so he went for the jugular and used the American peoples hatred for Saddam and used it as an excuse.

Killing over 600(and more to come) to stop one bad man?o ya....thats a war full of morals there....

Response to: what should we do to sadam Posted April 4th, 2003 in Politics

Response to: Jihad, Muslims Vs US? Posted April 4th, 2003 in Politics

techniquely MOAB is not a WMD.....they are bombs that leave something behind after the blast is gone....Nukes leave Nuclear stuff, Chemcil leaves Chemcials behind, and Biological leave plush toys behind(just seeing if you're paying attention)

The Kurds are terrorists. They are in Iraq, they are in Iran, and they are in Turkey. I don't have sympathies for terrorists.

Response to: Isreal Posted April 4th, 2003 in Politics

how about answering this- assuming the world isn't full of hate filled Bigots that want to destroy Isarel, then why does the middle east hate Israel?

if anyone can give me an answer that does not include "because everyone hates jews there" or something about Americas foreign policy with Israel(my opinion), then lets hear it.

Reporters on the felid is a propgranda emforcers dream- you don't force what people say, you just place them in a possition where one side is constantly shoot at them and killing soldiers that the day before you bonded with. Thus, the Bias claws straight through

Response to: Isreal Posted April 3rd, 2003 in Politics

65 like having WMD and refusing to allow weapon inspectors for them. 65 like occupying neighbouring nations territory. 65 like having the UN kicked out(unlike Iraq, where they left) of their Nation.

Its time to wonder not so much how to stop terrorism in Isreal, but WHY IT HAPPENS? is it because the people of the surrounding nations are suffering? is it because the nations surrounding it get sanctions while Isreal gets the United States to protect them from such things?
