3 things-
#1 if we prove we know the work before we do the homework, then why do we have to do the homework?
#2 If we complete the work, then shouldn't we have the right to leave? hell, if the teaching is over, just give the students the homework and LET them leave- it isn't a prison, its a school
#3 Why (in Canada, i'm assuming America has simular standards) do we not have equal rights when we step on the school property? In real life, we vote for our leaders, get fair fairs, and many other equalities, but in school, we lose all those rights- why do we learn about the greatness of democracy in a Oligrachy(that being where the people who rule were appointed not by the people and there is limited representation of which cannot change anything without the approval of the appointent members.)

That has to be the sadest thing i've ever read- you are seriously comfortable with the thought of Millions in poverty in order to keep you not only in power, but unbelieveibly rich compared to these people.....

If I were to give you a gun, and siad if you shoot a five year old Seryian girl in the head, you would be successful, you would be comfortable with your decision to kill her? And if i were to give you a machine gun and tell you if you kill 100 Lybians, your bisness with be successful, you would be comfortable with your decision? If i were to place you in front of a button, and tell you if you will hit it, i will launch a nuke at Baghdad, and 4 million people will either die instantly or very, very slowly and painfully, and tell you that if this happens, your country will be successful, you would hit the button?

What you don't seem to understand is that these numbers or not statstics. They are people- people with hopes, dreams, and futures that you drag through the mud by killing and forcing poverty for your own gain, not theirs. These people are suffering for your nations profit, and you seem quite comfortable and willing to let that happen, so long as you can live your life in complete luxery compared to what they have.

How about i give you an alterate veiw- You have been trained by Bin Laden- your friends, family, nieghbours, children, they are all suffering so the West can live comfortable lives. Bin Laden goes to you and says " you kill Americans, you will profit. You sucide bomb Iserals, your family will profit, and if you hijack a plane and fly it into a building, your nation will profit."

And please tell me this- how is that any different?

Response to: Why does the world hate America? Posted May 5th, 2003 in Politics

America WAS involved in WWII- they traded with the allies, and the germans literally considered that an act of war, which is why the civilian supply ships were attacked.
Also, you cannot say America saved Europe- after all, the germans were being fought off with the blood of Canadians, Austrillians, Bristish, Russians, and hundreds of other countries.....weither or not America joined the war would have stopped the Allies from winning is debatable, since the Americans were simply re-enforcements. Hell, American didn't even story Berlin- Russia did. And Americans didn't story Rome, either- Canadians did(with the help of a revoltution, but still). America had its own personal vendenna with Japan, so they took over with that, but the European front was fought by many more people than americans for many more years- hell, wasn't America the nation that has spent the least amount of time in the war in both World Wars? they joined later in the game in both.....

But who would benifit from Americans getting rich? is it the poor nations that became bombed because they wouldn't trade with the US, or the Americans who are getting rich off the lives of others- this isn't like disease- this is human beings killing other human beings for money. This isn't like a plague we just can't stop. This is a plague we MUST stop.

And while your at it, go to one of these suffering nations and tell them why they get to suffer- for the better good of global ecconmy. I doubt they would agree with you, and if the roles were reversed, i doubt you would agree to suffer for the global ecconmy either.

wait a sec- so you're saying that its okey for American to bomb other nations (literaly) for ecconmic gain, to protect americans from being "bombed" in the global trade?

how can you be so inhuman? Are you seriously putting a price on human life?

yes, i know Americans. I live, was born, have been raised, and currently reside in Canada. I work With Americans. I'm friends with Americans. I live with an American. I have aunts, uncles, and grandparents who are American. My Grandfather is currently in Chiago with his American wife.

I think you just generalised the entire anti-war(or anti-american, as you call it) movement

funny...the game Civiliaztion 3 had it so that democracy users would be punished from extended war times, since people would protest and your supply lines would stop.....it seems Mr. Sid Meier seems to agree that a fascist government is better in war times....

At 5/1/03 02:55 PM, Magna_Centipede wrote: The protestors of the war in Iraq are four things when it comes to personality traits: 1. Stupid

Mind telling me why were stupid for fighting what we believe in? I think the stupid people would have to be the ones that do nothing but complain, while the protestors are out there fighting to have their voice heard. I believe a trully stupid person would have no stance on the issues. A trully stupid person would not use their rights to fight a issue they feel so strongly about they go out in the streets and yell about it!

:2. Have too much free time 3. Imaginative( don't necessarily think that is good)

Ya....i do admit the showmanship of protestors is getting kinda thin.....

:4. willing to sacrifice dignity without batting an eye.

how is standing up for what you believe in(litterally) sacraficing dignity? Personally, i think these people are brave- hell, some people are risking their carreers for what they believe in- like Carlie Sheen for protesting the war in the streets and Don Cherry for Protesting Canada not going to war on his show. Do these people spare their dignity, or are they so brave and so strong in their beliefs that they are willing to spare their dignity if it causes change- would you be that brave?

:They don't seem to understand that the President will not look at their little magic marker colored contact paper signs suspended on an old 2 by 4 and say " Oh crap, I guess we were wrong! Oh well , Dick, call off the war, will you? When you get around to it? Thanks"

like i said before, i agree the showmanship of protestors is a joke, but they are still showing their opinions.

:Now, back onto protesting. If anyone reads this that IS a protestor, Stop, ok, you aren't inspiring anyone, or making anyone proud, you're only annoying us.

If you trully believe that protesting is for inspriation, then its no wonder why you do not protest- protesting is about making a stand against something within or outside of your nation that you believe unjust and wrong

Also, its not like its a couple of hundred of people protesting against the war- heres a few links:

http://www.internationalanswer.org/news/update/031503m15rpt.html

http://www.internationalanswer.org/news/update/041203a12rpt.html

http://www.internationalanswer.org/archives.html

not to mentention the February 15th protest, that had the world largest protest in human history, with one in every 600 person protesting worldwide in a single day

:And besides, you people ARE NOT that serious anyway.

have you bothered to talk to a protestor, or did you sit on your couch and let other people make your decisions for you?

We have the right ot protest if we believe something is wrong with the world- and there is, so we WILL protest. you don't like it? then change the channel.

Response to: U.S. troops fire again on Iraqi pro Posted May 1st, 2003 in Politics

you sure this was an anti-american protest? I mean, the first one was called anti-american by cbs, but they just wanted the troops out of the school so the kids could go back to school(they forgot to mentention that for some strange reason) Did they just walk around saying how much they hate americans? and even so, if the soldiers did get put into jepordy, then why didn't they get hurt? after all, if they were being 'shot at', then you'd expect to hear stories of soldiers being shot- but no, you hear stories of 53(more now?) civilian injuries and around 35(now?) civilian deaths....but wait- if they were being shot at, how did they get such great shots at the people shooting at them? if i was being shot at, i'd duck first, then attack, not hear gun first and start shooting at where you heard it from......
