no, but i think if we only changed asbestos when we needed to we would save alot of money, and like i said before even in buildings with damaged asbestos tehre is more asbestos outside that there is inside.

And in the news, all anti war protesters are shown as crazy, left wing radicals, I thought the news was supposed to be unbiased, but it has been very biased of late

The news is like any other TV show, it puts on what sells. Nobody wants to hear about mild mannered people protesting they want to hear about people making the peace sign nude and men dressing up as women with rockets on thier crotches talking about oil plants (yes that happened) they nees to catch the attention of the people fast or else they will lose it.

So much for freedom of choice when no matter what you watch, its about the war.

theres freedom of speech too but you still have to pay to use the telephone because its a business and businesses need to make money or else there wouldnt be one. MY advice to you, get a dish.

"the problem with a smoking gun is that you dont see the smoke" donald rumsfeld. All this time and he still hasnt gotten the smoking gun metaphor right.

Response to: Asbestos Posted March 12th, 2003 in Politics

but in order to safely remove it you have to shut down the building for quite some time and some places where asbestos is placed are inaccesible without removing parts of the biulding, i.e. wall, plus you have to pay to install the new stuff when the old stuff wasnt hurting anyone (just yet).

its not to murder people its to defend your country, or attack under your countries orders. but nevertheless they do it so you dont have to if people didnt sign up we would have to draft people.

because let's be honest. first, the US will not target these locations due to the fact that they need their smoking gun. second, iraq will, more likely than not, destroy their stock piles before the Americans reach them. therefore there will be no smoking gun and the US invasion will not be justified.

Thats not neccesarily true because saddam has nothing to lose. To me it seems like he doesnt actually hate america but he either hates mankind or wants attention. So its probable that hell use all his weapons either on the troops or his people and then use his biological defense strategy to make the land inhabitable. Think of it this way would you rather be forgotten or hatefully remembered by most people.

Like i said before though if removing it werent a problem i'd gladly go for it but when you remove it it becomes mixed in the air.

if i have to though. dogmatic law, jesus said to peter, "what you hold true on earth i shall hold true in heaven." which basically means we make the laws to get into heaven, whatever we feel are the rules for an acceptable society are the rules to get into heaven.

it never mentions bacteria or protozoa in the bible so he very well could have made them in his image. In the bible god can take any form so what is his image?

Response to: Freedom of Speech Posted March 11th, 2003 in Politics

Some people use the internet to give addresses of abortion doctors, Probably to get people to either terrorise or kill them. This isnt the only case of the net being used to do things of the sort so shouldnt that be just as illegal as the net being used to relay terrorist imformation and to plan terrorist attacks?

Asbestos Posted March 11th, 2003 in Politics

This isn't that hot of a topic but it wont seem to go away. Asbestos is a substance that is fairly fire proof and doesn't conduct heat well and its used to fireproof wires and other plases that are fire prone. This substance however can get lodged in your lungs and cause lung cancer. However it only is spread into the air when it is removed or damaged and only the strait kind gets lodged in your lungs, there is another kind which is curled and rarely does it cause lung cancer. Many places still use asbestos and politicians are considering removing it from all places even though there is usually more asbestos in the air outside than there is inside and removing it would only cause more asbestos to be spread into the air. Whats your opinion on this?

Your probbly right but i thought they hadn't perfected it yet and thats why they cant unfreeze people yet because they have to wait until they have the technology to unfreeze them properly.

Response to: OK, let me get this straight Posted March 11th, 2003 in Politics

You hear alot of people talk about this war being for oil but its not, certainly oil is a factor and we wouldnt be handling this in the way we are(not jsut yet anyway) if iraq's economy was cabbage based(you laugh but thats just about it for some countries). Plus this oil isnt really going to last much longer, it has maybe 20 to 40 years left and we certainly wouldnt be getting it for free, in fact we might be paying more considering how much it will take to rebuild iraq. Also people say that U.S. is a big bullie that says only we can have nuclear weapons which isnt true. We have been trying to eliminate all nuclear eapons in fact we recently eliminated either 2/3 or 1/3 of our nuclear arsenal(i cant quite remember how much it was). We tend not to mess around with countries that already have nukes even if in small supply, i.e. india and pakistan, but we certainly dont want anyone else to start having nuclear weapons. I think everyone will agree with that exept for the country trying to make the weapons, so its not like what were doing is unjustified or cruel. As for civilian casualties Saddam has used civilians as "shields" when it comes to bombings and even our own prisoners so we cant trust him for information on how many civilians died. I have a question too, does anyone know if we still have prisoners over there or did we get them all back?

that'd be nice but how long do cells last when they're frozen i thought the ice crystals killed them.
