Escape From Tomorrow got mediocre reviews at Sundance, but there's no way i'm going to not watch it.

Really enjoying the game, around 40% in now. I really don't much appreciate waiting half a month for multiplayer, but it looks worth the wait.

As a sidenote, anyone know if you can switch characters in free roam when they're together like on missions? I want to take Michael and Trevor on a rampage, but if I call one or the other to hang out I can't switch to them.

This is not the Johnny Depp you know today.
I had no idea it was him until the end credits.

It's more like a movie about Hunter S. Thompson in Johnny Depp's body than it is one about Johnny Depp playing Hunter S. Thompson.

Really fantastic movie, one of my favorites. I'm planning to read the book after I finish Slaughterhouse Five.

When I was little I used to have a recurring nightmare of aliens cutting through my bedroom window, then coming in and abducting me. Never went further than that, but that was enough to spook little me.

No horrible phobias anymore that i'm aware of. I'm sure I've got some, but none come to mind. One of these days i'll probably get a panic attack from an animal cracker or something.

Response to: people with big brothers Posted September 26th, 2013 in General

My older brother is kind of a shit guy. He's hilarious so he at least has that going for him, but he chain smokes anything smokeable, drinks a bunch, and becomes a grumpy fuck when he can't smoke or drink. He lives with us but I haven't really spoken to him for awhile now.

Aaron Paul, though.

Doesn't look very good but it doesn't look unwatchable.

Don't care much for the newer episodes. It seems like every time they write an episode they just ask themselves "what does the internet hate right now?" and then write an episode around it.

Response to: Grand Theft Auto Vi (gta6) Rumors Posted September 25th, 2013 in Video Games

With the progress they made between GTA IV and GTA V, I don't think it's too far-fetched to say a 6th would have multiple cities you could go between via the airports or something or other. I'd be most interested in finding out if the 3 protagonist thing is going to be a part of the series forever or if they just did it for the one game.

At 9/25/13 12:22 PM, Dean wrote: I'm puzzled by how they're going to end this. I was really enjoying Breaking Bad but I definitely enjoyed the earlier series a lot more than this season. Things just seemed to get a lot less interesting for me. There isn't a single character left that I actually care for. Is that intentional? Walt and his family are just straight up irritating at this point, Jessie is a whiny little bitch who deserved everything that's currently happening to him and the neo-Nazi's are just generic bad guys who're not well enough established to be major participants in the end of the show. No significant "bad guy" exists any more, unless we go for Walt being his own worst enemy.

The characters have always been intended to be perceived as morally ambiguous, though the Nazis kind of dick around with that idea by being pretty much 100% bad. Honestly, I think the show had a little drop in quality around when Gus showed up, because making meth was originally a whole ordeal of black comedy and engaging plot, but after Gus gave them the superlab it became a formulaic thing and was never really fun again.

That being said, I still really enjoy every season, this one more than some others. I think a big part of it is because I only found out about the show 2 years ago and proceeded to watch the shit out of it twice, so the entirety of Walt and Jesse's antics are still fresh in my mind and I still empathize strongly with both of them. I don't think anyone in a different state of mind would enjoy this season quite as much, because out of context it makes Walt look like a dickhead and Jesse like a little girl. Breaking Bad follows the writing formula of "make audience love characters and then do horrible things to them," and if step 1 didn't work on you then step 2 will be a lot less powerful.

I don't want Walt to die, but there's no way he's not going to. Things ain't looking too bright for Jesse either, but I don't think they'd kill him off. Got Ben & Jerry's, too.

Yeah it looks that way. I'm finishing season 7 now and season 4 is the best by far.

It's hardly godawful but I haven't gone out of my way to watch it since I was 13. There was a lot of hate for it around the past 2 years, but since then I haven't really heard anyone say anything about it.

i see nobody here making "euphoric" comments except for all the pseudo-intellectual bashing you two have been doing that commits the cardinal sin of any joke: overstay it's welcome

I think there was just enough self-parody going around to make the collective product only slightly shitty when combined with the fact that a joke's appeal is subjective. It's kind of shit to be upset with people for enjoying things you no longer enjoy.

If you've synced your iPhone or whatever to iTunes and the song's not showing up in your music library, then there's not really shit you can do as far as I know. That isn't something that has any reason to happen ever; i'd make sure you're not just missing the song in your library.

Not sure why removing a song is a top priority, though.

Jeff Dunham is pretty shit and Russell Peters' whole shtick only goes as far as "i'm Indian lol" when he was born and raised in Canada, but that's it for my list. I like to listen to stand-up on the radio every night and I've found that most comics have at least some good bits.
