My pops is a retired naval officer now working as a cybersecurity contractor, but Edward Snowden was working for the same company as my dad when he got into his whole mess so now my dad's work conditions have gotten a lot shittier. He's looking to join some other folks in creating a private company that'll do bank security.

My mom's been raising my brother and I but started college earlier this year to become a social worker.

My dream job would probably be a forensic investigator, i'm still having trouble figuring out what I want to do.

Lots of shit happened this episode, i'm digging it. The crazy lady was pretty pointless and glasses kid spoke like it was the 1950s but I liked everything else. Glasses kid's sickness obviously has something to do with the pig, but I can't imagine why it'd be affecting him and nobody else. Maybe he was doing some weird shit to it, I don't know.

They're really not wasting any time killing off the expendable new members of Rick's group, that's 2 down already. Relieved that the Governor's not an immediate threat, because there's no non-dumb way for them to do that so soon. I liked the supermarket scene a bunch, it was a pretty clever way to throw some zombies into the mix rather than the usual "and then zombies shambled out of the forest and nobody noticed until they were really close" that this show likes to do.

To each his own, I s'pose. I think the show has better character development but really slow plot movement, and that the comic has more shallow characters but steady and more interesting events. Like I thought everything pertaining to the prisoners was done a lot better in the comics, but the show has much stronger undertones of morality and all that good shit.

Also yeah the Governor is pretty consistently retarded in either medium, albeit slightly less so in the show. Rad coat, though.

You're right in that it shouldn't be exactly the same, it just seems like the show's writing isn't as good as the comic's. I didn't read the comic until after season 2 but I've always thought the first few episodes were the best, which were almost direct adaptions from the comic, then late season 1 and on has been so-so as the show writers have been adding more of their own ideas. It's fine if they want it to be different from the comic, but it should be better, if anything.
