Ohhhh damn import ok. Well it might be crashing or freezing if the parts you import are long or has lots of colors...that's what happens on my other computer. try and cut the video length in halves and import both. Just try and cut them up i guess it might not crash.
Export it as an SWF? well just set your jpg quality lower then export it to your desktop and try and import it.
Try restarting your computer.
Try and see if their is anything you can make smaller.
If all that fails send it to someone to do it for you and have them send the swf back. :)

What exactly are you trying to do with it in flash? if your going to edit it you should trace bitmap on it. Try and use some really white paper. If you have a mac doing this should be easy.
