A good PC will always play games better.
Get a SNES emulator though and enjoy some retro.

I never liked the game gear. I only played it like 3 times before I went back to my other bulky handheld gameboy to play donkey kong.

Yeah. I agree. It was pretty stupid. Turok for N64 was fun though.

Underrated Snes Games Posted July 7th, 2012 in Video Games

I've been picking through some of the popular super nintendo games, most of which I owned when I was 7 or 8.
earthbound, chrono trigger, zelda, blah blah.
They are great games, but I've been finding some other really amazing games like Rudra no Hihou, and I had never even heard of it until a few weeks ago. I just want some opinions of not so popular games.
What ta play an what not ta play.

Response to: Slender - Free Horror Game Posted July 7th, 2012 in Video Games

Yeah, I would love to see a slenderman movie. Iv'e seen some of MarbleHornets videos on youtube, and they are pretty creepy.

I saw a few decent videos made, but most are retarded.
Have you noticed how many children join the clock crew? It's so they can deal with being bullied in school (which is sad for them. they should punch those silly bullies in the face)
I wish we could have kids neutered. Least they would have a reason for being pathetic then.

Response to: Slender - Free Horror Game Posted July 7th, 2012 in Video Games

Game kicks ass. Everyone gets all pissy an acts bitch about "blocky" blah fucking graphics blah.
Most of the little shit head newgrounders on here don't know what counts as a game.
Amnesia was a VERY good game, and not just for "jump" scares.
Be ready for the dickheads on newgrounds to jump on any good game, and point out the obvious lame bullshit that isn't in the game like graphics, guns, and multiplayer. If it doesn't have any of those then it's not worth the time.
Newgrounds isn't the place to talk about new, creative things anymore.
Way to down a game that's FREE.

any who, back to my search for any news on project nexus updates.

Oh have you seen the new video for the slender man? It's pretty creepy. I think it would make a good horror movie. Change
it up a little ya know. Sick of shitty horror movies with just blood, guts, an tits. Need a good solid scary movie (tits can stay)

Zelda remakes + possible new game Posted June 14th, 2012 in General

So Nintendo is taking votes on 3 possible games.

A Link to the Past remake - in 3D
A Link to the Past sequel - 3D
and a remake of Majoras Mask

Now for me this vote was extremely difficult because I love A link to the Past and Majoras mask.
I just think that a remake of a link to the past, easily one of the best 2D's ever made, should defiantly be considered before the other 2.
My reasons.
Bosses. Would look sexy. I mean c'mon who doesn't want to see Moldorm, Helmasaur, or Trinexx beefed up with some new graphics, and a 3D way to fight them?

I'd like to know what everyone else thinks or if your as excited as me to get a taste of old school Zelda action again.
Here's a "Link" (see what I did there :D) to an article, an a little demo video of Majoras Mask

Response to: Multi pressed buttons AS2 Posted October 25th, 2011 in Game Development

Awesome bro. Thanks!
now I need to work on some gravity and hit tests n make a simple game!
Like a BOSS

Multi pressed buttons AS2 Posted October 25th, 2011 in Game Development

Workin on some movieclip movement with the arrow keys.
Got it to work fine with just 1 button being pressed.
Can't seem to make button combos work.

onClipEvent(load){
speed=10; stop();
speed2=1; stop();
}
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {

if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)){
			_x+=speed; gotoAndStop(1);}

if (Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)){
			_y+=speed; gotoAndStop(2);}

if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)){
			_x-=speed; gotoAndStop(3);}

if (Key.isDown(Key.UP)){
			_y-=speed; gotoAndStop(4);}
			// problem is obviously here V
if (Key.isDown(Key.UP&(Key.RIGHT))) {
			_y-=speed2; gotoAndStop(5);}
}

I also tried && (that's strict right?) I can't find my AS bible so i've been kinda lost jumping back into AS

Response to: smooth movement AS2 Posted October 24th, 2011 in Game Development

Seriously dude!
Face palm so hard.
I should have known that... I haven't fiddled with AS in like 3 years now.
God i'm rusty.
Thanks broheim

smooth movement AS2 Posted October 24th, 2011 in Game Development

onClipEvent(load) {
	speed = 7;
}

onClipEvent(keyDown){
	if (Key.isDown(Key.UP)){
		_y -= speed;
	}else if (Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)){
		_y += speed;
	}else if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)){
		_x -= speed;

	}else if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)){
		_x += speed;

	}
}

My movie clip moves but I want it to move smoothly and not just jump across the screen like it's doing.
It also has some kind of delay with the key presses, and jumps forward once, pauses, then continues to move forward.

Response to: Older version of flash? Posted August 15th, 2010 in Game Development

Thank you my good broseph, I must purchase this fine product (once again)
I keep trying to find the other 3 in a group bundle or something to save some cash. This is a retarded waste of money for me on all the crap I already have on my pc but need on my mac.
You would think since it's old it would be cheaper.

Older version of flash? Posted August 15th, 2010 in Game Development

I need the older version of flash, flash 8 for college (along with photoshop, fireworks, and dreamweaver)
Stupid I know but If anyone knows where I could find it I would very much appreciate it, and the faster I find it or find out I can't get it the faster this can topic can die.

We get it updated next semester to cs5 but until then my teacher tells me I have to have it. I've tried google and ebay but nothing.

Response to: Marvel Collab- Posted July 26th, 2009 in Game Development

Aw damn it my bad I miss read the topic lol. for some reason in my mind i just added capcom to the end. But I also have a iron man sheet mostly ripped apart to if you want that.

Response to: Marvel Collab- Posted July 26th, 2009 in Game Development

I have a Ryu sheet already split up and set with every animation put together and set to movie clips. It's really set up for game programing but you can take all the animations out of the main MC and use that if you want. It will save you time from ripping the sheets apart and re-animating them. If you want it just hit me up on PM and I'll send it to you.

Response to: SF4 - Saget is Cheap Posted July 7th, 2009 in Video Games

I think the best way to defeat saga is to be on the defensive lure him in with a focus+ cancel and if he does tiger upercut or knee he's open to you. lots of characters are cheap in a sense though. Gouki throws hadous like a bitch and vega is just straight up beast when he backflips over revenge specials.

Response to: Mother 3 Posted July 7th, 2009 in Video Games

I was just explaining about how the story-line is good. I've never been able to get this because I haven't been able to find it. I don't go out of my way to insult other peoples bulletins on games they like. I was trying to turn you on to the story of the game. It's simple but powerful, much like halo without the complicity of final fantasy.

Mother 3 Posted July 7th, 2009 in Video Games

I've been a fan of the Earthbound or "Mother" (as it's know in Japan" for a long time now and after getting the rom of Earthbound 2 (Mother 3) for gba emulator and english translation installed to it, I found this to be one of the best story-lines of any game on any system I have ever played. A emotional beginning followed by a lough out loud funny, but action packed journey, with a short sad final battle that had me almost crying. If your the type of person that loves stylish classic RPG's then I really do suggest you buy this game (if it ever came out in America) or get it like I did. At the very least check out this amazing story that these great guys translated for us.

If he did I didn't hear anything about it. This project though should be much bigger. I don't see anything about this on any web site at all. This should be all over the internet.

Response to: computers for the world Posted November 30th, 2008 in General

It's pretty interesting. they have lots of programs for children since it's really for them but it's still advanced for a $100 computer. I mean freakin python programing is in it.
