I think you ought to finish it entirely; right now you're becoming your own detractor by spending time trying to figure out the problems. A finished piece of shit gets displayed before an unfinished masterpiece.

If you think it would work, sure. Like I said, it was more confusing then anything else. It sounds like a good way to address it though.

I actually see what you mean now with the structures. the light sources are way off. Lol this is precisely why I post things!

A bit of utter confusion there. Also some incongruity between the action-orientated pose and the static background, would advise trying to make the background a lot more "dramatic", compared to the idyllic scenery it is now. Good luck, man.

So do you reckon I should have reflected light from the hair on the wings, and perhaps some light coming through the feathers? I havent added the sun yet, but it will be behind her, out of view.

SO this is meant to be a portfolio illustration, not for any project or assignment, or anything important. What I want to know is what you think of it as a piece, the feeling it puts forth, and of course I WANT CRITIQUE. I just need to make sure it shines, you know?

Thanks!

RULES: the piece must feature a dragon; the dragon must be the focal point of the piece. Finally, you must place something newgrounds-related in the piece somewhere. It can be subtle, or not; have fun!

Pieces will be judged by me, according to my own opinions in conjunction with the responses(if any) of the people on this thread.

The deadline of this contest is october 1st. Prizes will be purely honor-based. My goal is to make more themed challenges in the future, and hopefully have them be popular :)

I've posted four pieces, and also here is a link to my website theartofgio.com

Deathwing's chin Posted July 29th, 2010 in General

It goes against the laws of gaming for any video game character to have a chin larger than the ones seen in final fantasy games. Deathwing must be destroyed.

Well I hope you forget to tie your shoes, your lace gets stuck in an escalator and you die of a painful death. That'd be a nice twist to your miserable existence. Avatar the airbender is crap. Nobody cares.

You have a little nerd rage just below your lip. Want me to get that for you, or maybe you can wipe it off with another ridiculous post?

Only good thing about the 'comeback' is Mike Portnoy drumming for that dead 'rev' guy on the new album and following tour.

Dude. The Rev had more talent in one of his pubes than Mike Portnoy will ever hope to dream of having.

Response to: Death to M. Night Shyamalan Posted July 22nd, 2010 in General

you all make good points, however, M. Night Shyamalan is still a putrefier and needs to be punished.

Discuss.

Death to M. Night Shyamalan Posted July 22nd, 2010 in General

He has made a career out of producing terrible movies, and that is one thing. But to rape, and I mean RAPE, and leave a beautiful story like the last airbender and leave it to die in a festering, inglorious pool of fail and poor acting is another. For this affront to an amazing series, I reach out to all of you. We must bring about the end of M. Night Shyamalan!

Of course, he is so filled with bad acting and lack of skill, that he can never truly die, so we must find a way to suspend him in cryogenic stasis, or at least lock him away in a dark, damp place where his atrocious directing/producing methods will never besmirch another great story with garbage acting and idiotic plot twists.

Thank you.
