Response to: Tweening or FBF Posted April 1st, 2006 in Game Development

Damnit, there are so many of these threads!

OK.

FBF generally looks better but takes longer to d, also more effort.

Motion Tweening is harder to get to look like you want it, but it cuts down the work load.

Response to: wats your frame by frame techneque Posted April 1st, 2006 in Game Development

Well, have a graphic (or movieclip) in the center of a guy running, and tween the background across.

Anyways I will not reveal MY secret technique, because it's absolutely amazing...

Response to: Best Flash author on New Grounds Posted April 1st, 2006 in Game Development

It has to be Granfaloon. His stuff is great and action packed and all, but, have you seen Red Riding Hood (probably), well, I am pretty sure that has better graphics than littlefoot.

Response to: FBF or Tweening? -stick ppl- Posted March 31st, 2006 in Game Development

Everyone should use FBF, because with shape and motion tween, it is hard for the motion to look realistic, and if it is motion tweening, the libs will go through eachother if the movement is too drastic, and you will have to fix that frame by frame, so you might has well just do it fbf.

Response to: Illwillpress did it again ! Posted March 29th, 2006 in General

I think he should actually listen to the people that watch it, It is like he just throws it on NG and then ignores it and that same hour starts up a new crappy movie. He should take a hint, because if you look closeley, recently his flashes have gotten horrible scores all around.

Can two flashes have the same name? Posted March 29th, 2006 in General

I am wondering if two flashes can have the same name? I mean, what if you started something amazing, lets call it "Awesome 1", then you made "Awesome 2", and they were both very popular and good. What if someone made a flash called "Awesome 3" and managed to get it past the portal? Would the original author have to change the name slightly? It just worries me that if I myself make a series, would I want to make sure that each episode is named uniquely or generically?

Ugh, nice GSK, but I really really think that people should draw their own things instead of leeching off someone else's.

By the looks of xiao xiao, I would have to say 24 or 30. but even 15 fps can make some smooth stick action:

Response to: Need flash help desperately! Posted March 27th, 2006 in Game Development

you can only fill in a shape.. that isnt a symbol. to make a symbol a shape, press CTL-V, keep in mind it must be completely on the same layer, to find out click on the layer you think it is all on, and if the whole drawing lights up, your a set.

And also on the left hand side, there is a little blue circle somewhere, and you can click it to choose the amount of gap it will be allowed to fill.

Sorry about the sketchy instructions but flash isnt open right now.

Response to: frame by frame animation Posted March 27th, 2006 in Game Development

Well, theres a few methods i know of, from tutorials a long time ago.

One method is to draw something, and then add maybe 3 keyframes, and then draw the same thing where you want it to end up.

Next go to the middle blank keyframe, and draw halfway between both of the drawn positions.

repeat the process inbetween fully drawn frames until it is as smooth as you want.

Oh no! Umm, sorry about that, it's just that I never heard anything about that on this collab (maybe because I joined on page 52). Oh man, really sorry, it must be hell dealing with my part, considering the way I animate ( I use a lot of layers..... a LOT, and most are not even necessary) Oh well...
