well, if its a symbol (which it should be, cuz shape tween sucks ass) then just drag it with the black one, if not, double click it with the black one, because if you just drag it will forget to bring the outline (if there is one)

Response to: so what are you working on now? Posted December 9th, 2005 in Game Development

this is for the flash section guys, just because some people can interpret the beginning post differently, doesnt mean that is the point of the thread... It's in the flash section, so it's flash related..

Response to: How you learnt to animate.. Posted December 9th, 2005 in Game Development

OH right, from my last touching post, i fogot one thing about me learning to animate. A lot of swearing! Swearing at my computer, school computers, and so on. It's still very hard for me to animate on such a slow ass computer, and whenever flash shuts down and i lose a bunch of stuff, i get real pissed and swear some more, but i just love to animate, even over all of that..

Response to: so what are you working on now? Posted December 9th, 2005 in Game Development

I'm working on my new movie, I can't tell you the name of it, and I can't show, you a screenshot or anything. I am very paranoid of someone stealing my ideas, or characters.

All I can say, is that it is a huge leap over my other movies....

Your just jealous because your an old man....

Anyhow, I learned to animate when i was... I dunno 11? I used to make flipbook stickman cartoons for people in my class, in all the old english novel study books. When i was maybe 12, i found out that my school had a program for animation called "Promotion", I made a bunch of cartoons on there, then i got it on my computer, got good at it, and aced infotech 9 (the class).

Then I eventually got Flash mx 2004 this summer from my Dad's friend... Then, I did a whole bunch of tests, and so on, and practice practice practice. The 2 animations I have on here arent great, but i am much better at the moment, with a long, bloody, good cartoon in the works at this very moment...

Response to: Effect? Posted December 8th, 2005 in Game Development

I think that should be played at the end of your movies, its kinda plain, but the lectricity is well done, but yea if at the beginning, it should transition your logo in, rather than out.

Then you can shift the sound.

Do you mean when you just hit "edit" on that control bar? cuz that didnt work for me...

Stereo, god damnit! Posted December 8th, 2005 in Game Development

I'm having a problem with flash and audio. I am having the song "back to mad" in my flash, yes you all know it, i dont think its over used, ive only seen it in 2 flashes, but ive only been here for like 5 months or something. Anyhow, When I play the song in Itunes, and when i play it in flash mx, it has both sides and they are different, with the clanking in the left, then rigt, and the shifting left to right and all.

Now when I export it, or test it, it is only mono, I've tried a whole bunch of things, i tried All the audio export settings, at all their bit rates, and yes, I unchecked the "convert to mono" button. I've even tried making a custom sound and having it shift left to right and stuff, but it STIL doesnt effect the exported swf... So what do I do to have it truly stereo in the exported swf?

Response to: Member Gundam Wing? Posted December 4th, 2005 in General

Yea i have a bunch of those, but mine are just the wee action figures, you dont put em together and break em, although you can swap limbs and stuff with other ones. I have a lot of those, they were (and maybe ARE (aint used em in a long long time)) awesome! I still like gundam wing though, just a few weeks ago i bought the entire series from amazon for like 80$ canadian:D

I mostly bought it as revenge for how shitty gundam seed is (in my opinion), but its awesome anyways...

FFAC, god damnit! Posted December 3rd, 2005 in General

I have one question, is FF:AC actually out yet? Or is it just so popular you cant get it in stores without taking a bat in the shins?

Response to: Bow to ppl named Matt, Newgrounds. Posted December 3rd, 2005 in General

But yea the only matts around here i can think of are like... matt fennel, the _stix_ guy, and matt, uhhhhh, i dunno, i think the guy that made black mages 5 is matt something...

Response to: Cutoff text... Posted December 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

How about Bradley "Hand ITC TT-Bold"? I didnt like specially download that or anything, so I think everyone should have it..

Cutoff text... Posted December 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

what is up with cutoff text? where the text just stops like halfway through a character? How does it happen, i only see it in terrible, easily blammable movies, but i want to know how it happens, and if it doesnt happen to you when you test the movie, does that mean it wont happen on ng? It's just because ive been working really hard on my latest animation and i dont want anything like that to happen, not that it has in my other movies. I'm just curious...

Response to: Fbf Or Motion Tween Posted December 1st, 2005 in Game Development

but professional flash peoples use motion tween, shows like....... bromwell high, i guess.... and like, chilly beach.....(horrible example, sorry, but they ARE on tv)

SWF combine... Posted December 1st, 2005 in Game Development

With swf combine, can you say, combine all the scenes of your movie, and then run music over them or something like that? If not, can you suggest a program that can?Thanks..

The reason I dont just download it and see is because I have very slow internet:P

Yes, its called f6, and what you are describing is what i call "patching", dunno if there is a professional term for it or not...

Response to: Here's everyones solution! Posted November 24th, 2005 in Game Development

if by everyone, you mean you, then yes. I think you could say that if the animation you did was good, but it aint.

There, I just crapped out an fbf stick walk. I think it looks decent, i took a whopping 5 minutes on it.

Response to: Stick Figure Walking? Posted November 24th, 2005 in Game Development

dude, dont do motion tweening with sticks, that takes a lot of patching, and if you dont the limbs will stick out through the knees, so it would judt be faster to fbf, and remember, dont give them eyes, or necks...... well maybe necks....

Response to: New to flash Posted November 24th, 2005 in Game Development

go to www.newgrounds.com/flash to download a free trial, and get tutorials and learn about other stuff. I've heard that the trial link from NG has no english version, so type in something like "flash mx 2004 trial" or something like that in google.

An emulator?! Didn't your mother ever teach you any manners?

Response to: Why does he look flat? Posted November 23rd, 2005 in Game Development

he looks flat because he does, thats all there is to it. Now you either have to reshape the head, or have more drastic shading..... I'm not gonna explain what that means (if anything), due to risk of making an ass of myself.

Response to: What Do You Think? (walking cycle) Posted November 17th, 2005 in Game Development

You guys, im offended! I think tweens are just so awesome because i plan on using so not many (wink wink wink) tweens in my new movie.

Anyways yea tweens look pretty terrible if not done right, because the torso will not move left to right and the limbs will just flail around.
