yeah i see what you mean. Even with your sketches though, I think you need to loosen up. If you make mistakes, you can say "hey, it's just a sketch. nothin' big." loosining up (as proved in the 15 minute sketch thread) helps improve your sketches. And improving sketches improves art :D

@jeesh - did you look past page 1? :P

judging by the last couple pages, you're still not lightly sketching stuff out, and they'res still too much videogame-movie stuff. lol.
I do admire that you got rid of notebook paper, and there is a bit of improvement.
so shame on me I guess. lol.

What about the big guns?

I think the guns kinda add to it, so idunno. just have humans holding the guns lol

Is it your sole purpose to point out the inadequacies of others? Don't post unless you have something worthwhile to say.

Oh wait... =P

yes it is :D then why are you posting? lol. I'm just pointing this out, cuz they're a handful of people that are always all over everyones threads, telling them that they're taking other people's ideas. I think they should just leave it to the moderators to decide whether it's not important enough for it's own thread.

but lets not cludder this thread with our bull. Let's leave it to the evil mosters! >:D

This took me....from the time I made my last post till now (with time to scan my pic and put it on the thread) lol. I don't really like the proportions, but it's just a sketch I guess. Any oppinions?

great critique! lol. Clowns are always creepy. I honestly think that your art needs work, however. You draw too much videogame stuff. show me something I wouldn't expect yo :D The clown joke was kinda lame though, You should have added some irony or something, it would have made it funnier. PLUS: i can tell by the amount of smudges on your stuff that you're drawing way too hard. Draw lightly so that when you erase, you don't fuck up your art. sketch stuff out too, make your lines smoother. Keep practicing bro :D

why of course! But I don't have a tablet. I'm currently saving up for a wacom bamboo fun tablet, but what program do recommend? I hear that when you buy it, it comes with some photoshop program.

ha, hey me too! :D Yeah, i guess it comes with something suited more for artists, which is really cool. But if it doesn't anymore, then that sucks.

Make the skull light yellow, almost orangeish and I'd say have a majority of the wires either black or gray with some yellow and red. Any way you want it though would be cool though, you already posted the uncolored version so why not?

ha thanks for the positive responce dudes. How 'bout another?

I'd love some criticism and suggestions to make to it. This is the hardest part for me because I'm not that good at faces, so the rest of it I should be done soon and will have the final submitted asap. Thanks in advanced...

Stippling=FUCK THAT.
it takes an EXTREME amount of patence to make something out of stippling. Your bravery alone is noted! And the drawing is pretty good too, I think it's a little out of proportion in some areas, but the vast amount of detail makes up for it.

btw, I forgot to explain how I "updated" Mark2. Here is the first machine: Mark1. I drew him about 2 years ago. So not only am I improving the design, almost like I'm creating a real robot, I'm also drawing him better as my art improves.

Thanks man, I still think I'm pretty far away. Sure there's a lot of dudes on here that draw crappy MS paint doodles, but there's a handful of dudes on here whos work belongs in ART GALLERIES. plus, my dad makes his own comics, so I have to be on a level with all the indie comic guys. Needless to say, I'm still training haha

whaa? It's like your drawings came straight from my fears dude. seriously. well except for the pirate. I used to love drawing stuff like this till I just got way too creeped out. What's your inspiration, anyhow?

haha I can only hope I can strike that kind of fear into people :D My insperation comes from a mix of My father, Johnen Vasquez, David Mack, Tim Burton, David Watt, Alex Grey, Camile Rose Garcia, and H.R Geiger. I'm like their love child, only my art art is nothing compared to any of them :D

Newgrounds has also influenced me to step up my game. I realized that I had to start coloring if I was going to be on league with the best of the best.

Response to: Draw Your Favourit Game Character Posted January 3rd, 2010 in Art

I drew "the Sorrow" from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. He was by far the coolest boss battle in the world. And his whole backstory......he is literally the coolest game character ever.

I'll have the drawing up at some point in the next couple days.
